Please help - RelatedToUrlSearchParameter
RelatedToUrlSearchParameter In the past several days whenever we submit a RelatedToUrlSearchParameter query for a specific url, we are only getting max of 100 keyword ideas from the API. The problem with fewer keyword ideas from the RelatedToUrlSearchParameter query seemed to start around 13 July or so. Example: We submit a URL: www.prettybabygifts.com and we get only 100 keyword ideas from that URL. *We've been getting 300 ideas*. IT DOES NOT matter what URL we submit, we only get 100 max keyword ideas. We've tested quite a bit. Has something changed that we're unaware of? I would appreciate any help in solving this issue. Re: RelatedToUrlSearchParameter
Hi Eric, Thanks for your response. you asked for some examples. Some examples: www.prettybabygifts.com www.cornerstorkbabygifts.com www.simplyuniquebabygifts.com In each case, we got 98 to 100 keywords from the API ... but 300 from the ExternalKeywordTool when I'm signed-in. We asked for linked pages as well. My question was simply: Can we get more than 98 to 100 keyword ideas from the RelatedToUrlSearchParameter ... because so far, that's all we're getting for ANY URL we submit via the API. I'm wondering if we're doing something wrong??? (Note: www.example.com was just for illustrative purposes.) thanks, pen ~~~ On Nov 23, 10:02 am, AdWords API Advisor wrote: > Hi, > > Forwww.example.comI'm seeing 111 results returned with both the API > and the logged in UI. I've read all the posts re: RelatedToUrlSearchParameter and I still can not find the info I'm requesting. When we submit a domain like www.example.com, and request keyword ideas we get prox 100 keywords. TargetingIdea service RelatedToUrlSearchParameter
Hi 2 Questions: Question 1: We're using the API to query for keywords found on a webpage and want to include keywords from linked pages. Example: www.prettybabygifts.com We've set the 'includeSubUrls': 'True' Is this the correct way to get keywords from linked pages? The default is False. Question 2: Even when we submit a domain like www.simplyuniquebabygifts.com, we only get 98 to 100 keywords. The ExternalKeywordTool gives 300 keywords for the same domain (when I'm signed in). Why are we only getting 100 via the API??? Are we submitting the request incorrectly? thanks. -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and discussion group: http://adwordsapi.blogspot.com http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group. how to estimate maxCpc on new campaigns
Hi all. Please help. We will be using the Adwords API to help new Adwords clients and clients running campaigns on new keywords/ad groups. How do we get the estimated maxCpc to input into the TrafficEstimatorService in order to get the following results estimated for our clients: lowerClicksPerDay and upperClicksPerDay lowerCpc and upperCpc lowerAvgPostion and upperAvgPosition In other words, how do we know what amount to input into the maxCpc to get estimates on non-existing, new campaigns? The public Adwords Keyword tool seems to default to an Ad Position between 1-3 and provides estimated clicks, CPC and estimated daily cost. How do we sync our results with those for estimation purposes for new campaigns? thanks, pen -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and discussion group: http://adwordsapi.blogspot.com http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "AdWords API Forum" group. TargetingIdeaService keyword variations vs. related searches
In the old KeywordExternal public tool, there used to be prox 150 keyword variations given ... and then another group of Related Searches at the bottom. Q1: Via the Adwords API, TargetingIdeaService, can we query for KeywordVariations ... AND also ... Related Searches in order to get more lateral/broader suggestions? In other words, get both a vertical list of keyword search terms AND get a broader list of Related Searches (like the Wonder Wheel or the 10 suggestions at the bottom of Google search results)? Re: brand related searches
Hi Eric Here's what I'm asking for. Example: I input viagra into the public KeywordTool OR THE TargetingIdeaService via our Adwords API queries. We get basically nothing in a vertical keyword series of suggestions. Question: will the TargetingIdeaService provide a vertical of keyword searches that are brand-related? EX: viagra buy viagra cheap viagra viagra side effects generic viagra viagra without prescription viagra without a prescription free viagra viagra samples etc etc It seems like the results we're pulling from the API so far are relatively non-related. So I need to know if Google is Blocking vertical results for BRAND searches. We get plenty of generic verticals: baby gifts unique baby gifts baby gift baskets baby boy gifts baby shower gifts etc etc BUT, BRAND verticals ... we're getting realistically nada. thanks, pen On Jul 1, 12:43 pm, AdWords API Advisor wrote: > Hi Pen, > > I just tested out the AdWords Keyword Tool, and I'm not seeing any > restrictions for brand terms. Re: brand related searches
Eric Thanks for your response. I appreciate your time. However, Very Specifically, my question is about retrieving BRAND related search terms plus their stats. Example: Viagra. It seems as though Google does NOT give brand related search terms and stats via the Adwords tool publicly available. I understand this is to prevent trademark infringement and cybersquatting, etc However, are those brand-related search terms available via the Adwords API? Again, EXample: buy viagra, cheap viagra, online viagra, viagra samples, generic viagra, etc, etc. I know blocking those search terms is important to protect brands from infringers. BUT, brand protection companies such as ours can also use those terms and stats to protect clients. And, Google is the search giant with the deepest brand-related search queries. Can we get those deep lists via the API? thanks. pen On Jun 29, 8:08 am, AdWords API Advisor wrote: > Hi Pen, > > You can use the TargetingIdeaService to get information about search > terms, including search volume, competition, etc. > > http://adwordsapi.blogspot.com/2009/11/discover-v2009-getting-ideas-w... > > Best, > - Eric Koleda, AdWords API Team > > On Jun 26, 5:25 pm, penaz wrote: > > > > > Via the API keywords tool can we query and receive brand name search > > terms? brand related searches
Via the API keywords tool can we query and receive brand name search terms? We're a brand protection company and knowing brand searches plus their search stats for a client would aid our brand protection efforts.
