Re: When will RecommendationType include all (or most) recommendation types?

2022-02-02 Thread Wijnand Meijer
Hi Teejay,

I'm sure the team that works on the recommendations part of the API knows
exactly which of the recommendations listed over
here
https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/3416396?hl=en#zippy=%2Csee-all-recommendations

are currently returning UNKNOWN for RecommendationType.

So I'm hoping that v10 of the API will provide a lot more insight into
RecommendationType by returning less UNKNOWN, preferably released in order
of impact. So if a RecommendationType usually has a high impact on the
Optimization Score, showing this type through the API would have a high
priority.

Thanks

When will RecommendationType include all (or most) recommendation types?

2022-01-17 Thread Wijnand Meijer
Hi there,

We did a cross-account analysis of the
RecommendationType
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v9/RecommendationTypeEnum.RecommendationType

and found that this value returns UNKNOWN 73% of the time. As you can see
in the attachment, we performed this over lots of accounts.

The plan was to present our users with the most impactful recommendations,
but that's quite impossible if 73% of the time the type is unknown.

So my question is: when will all (or most) recommendation types be
included, as listed over
here
https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/3416396?hl=en#zippy=%2Csee-all-recommendations

?

Is this expected in v10 of the Google Ads API (February/March)?

FINAL_URL_REPORT vs LANDING_PAGE_REPORT

2018-06-07 Thread wijnand
Hi,

I'm wondering which report is best to use to quickly get all landing page
URLs (preferably 'cleaned up' without parameters) used in an account, so
I'd like to know if there are any differences between the EffectiveFinalUrl
from the FINAL_URL_REPORT and the ExpandedFinalUrlString /
UnexpandedFinalUrlString from the LANDING_PAGE_REPORT

Thanks!

Re: ocid in https://adwords.google.com URL's

Hi Dhanya,

It would be great if you could pass this request on, as it would make the
life of many teams working in AdWords much easier (by enabling them to
share deep links with their colleagues) and with that, give users a good
reason to switch to the new interface.

Best regards,

Re: ocid in https://adwords.google.com URL's

2018-06-05 Thread wijnand
Hi Dhanya,

Is this still the case? Easy deep linking would be a very welcome USP for
the new AdWords interface (that people have a hard time adopting) and I
honestly don't see why Google would not support it.

The URLs of the new interface are very suitable for deep linking with a
structure
like
https://adwords.google.com/aw/keywords?campaignId=1234567890&adGroupId=12345678901&ocid=123456789

with the exception of the ocid part that is a big but required mystery to
all of us.

Really hope that easy deep linking based on campaignId and adGroupId will
be possible in the near future.

Best regards,

Wijnand

Re: ocid in https://adwords.google.com URL's

2018-06-05 Thread wijnand
Hi Dhanya,

Is this still the case? It would be fantastic if Google would support
simple deep linking based on campaign id and agroupid, and the urls seem
ready for it with a structure like:

https://adwords.google.com/aw/keywords?campaignId=1234567890&adGroupId=12345678901&ocid=123456789

Except that ocid part that is unclear.

Hope this will be possible in the near future, could you let us know if
Google plans to support deep linking?

Best Regards,

Wijnand
