Apparently yes. You can edit site links at the Adgroup level with the new
enhanced campaigns. Just tried it out.

Is this changing with the new enhanced campaigns update?
Being able to ad Extension only to specific ad groups would really give
more flexibility.

Thanks Kevin, just for anyone else reading this in the future, it is
possible to attach Location Ad Extensions to a specific Ad, using the
AdLocationExtentionOverride functionality, so you could affectively attach
them to each ad in an adgroup to have the desired effect of attaching them
to an adgroup. Would be great if the same was possible for Site Links.

Hi,
This is not currently possible as Ad Extensions are currently only a
Campaign-Level feature. As per our off-list conversation, I'll bring this
feedback to the core engineers.

Can ad extensions be attached to ad groups, or is it campaigns only?

2012-04-26 Thread Tommy Newman
I think ad extensions (I want to use site links and locations) can be
attached to campaigns only, however ideally I need to attach them to ad
groups instead. I just want to confirm that this is not possible, and if
so, suggest it as an adaption?

My campaign structure, in line with guidelines I am sure is:

Campaign: Location (eg London)
-> Ad Group: Service (eg Counselling, Psychology)
(as I have many locations offering the same local service in each, by
different practitioners)

I therefor want to use site link and location extensions which are relevant
to the service in the location, and am surprised to see it doesn't look to
be possible at present. I don't want to be cross-showing related but
different services.

Is there any way to achieve this other than to break all of my campaigns
out so that I only use 1 ad group per campaign?

Thanks
