Re: CriterionPolicyError for PolicyName 'trademark'?

2010-07-15 Thread AdWords API Advisor
Hi,

I don't have any information about why that specif term is being
flagged. Questions about general AdWords policies should be posted to
the AdWords forum:

  http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdWords

As I mentioned previously, if the policy error can be exempted then
you can add an exemption request to your operation to allow the
keyword to be added. It will then go through a more thorough review
process to determine if it meets the policy guidelines.

Best,
- Eric

 Rewritable.

I don't see any rules prohibiting brands that are qualified with other
generic terms, such as in this case.  Moreover, we have plenty of
other terms that include Sony that are not being flagged.  The link
from the Terms and Conditions policies page
 athttp://www.google.com/intl/en/permissions/guidelines.htmlsays to Use
a generic term following the trademark, for example: GOOGLE search
engine, Google search, GOOGLE web search, which appears to be what
 we're doing.

Is there some other policy at work here that we need to obey?  Could
it be a regex/matching issue with the numbers '5.25' that immediately
follow the term 'Sony'?  Any guidance would be great.

 Thx.

The 'operations[29].operand.criterion.text' is set to Sony 5.25 inch
Rewritable. That should be fine according to the trademark policies
