Re: Doing Adwords ETL for Adwords accouts outside of your MCC

2020-07-21 Thread Ray Curry
Hi Xiaoming / Google Ads API Team,

If the only way to connect to another company's account is to add them to
my MCC that owns the APP API then I will need a smooth way to add them to
my MCC. Is there a way using the API that I can implement some sort of
single sign on then once they have agreed to add them to my MCC via the API?
I do not want to have the user go into their account and manually add it to
my account. I did not see anything similar under the
account management sample section. Please let me know if this is possible
with the Google ADS API.

Thanks,
Ray

Hi Ray,

Thank you for reaching out. The other accounts could either be linked to your
MCC account or they can just create their own OAuth2 credentials and issue the
API calls themselves. If their accounts are linked to your MCC account and you
have the admin or standard access to their account then you could make calls on
behalf of them. Otherwise they need to create the credentials and call the API
themselves.

Thanks and regards,
Xiaoming, Google Ads API Team

Doing Adwords ETL for Adwords accouts outside of your MCC

2020-07-18 Thread Ray Curry
I have currently been doing data ETL for our own Agencies Adwords account
and when we get new clients we have them added to our MCC. We are now
working with other Agencies and need to do ETL of their accounts but can
not have them added to our MCC because they want to stay separated from our
account. I would like to do traditional backend ETL without a web app, but
if needed I can build a web app and have some sort of google single sign on
if needed. In fact that is probably the direction we want to go in the long
term to have a new agency sign them selfs up for our ELT process. How can
I accomplish doing ELT for another persons account. Do you just need to
switch something out in the YAML or is it a different API permissions
setting or something else?
