Also, by using ad hoc reporting or AWQL to retrieve data and BulkMutateJobService to make changes to your campaigns, ad groups, keywords you can cut the unit costs by more than half. A BulkMutateJob costs half what individual calls would plus 1 unit for submitting the job itself. Expected API costs
Hi, I manage an adwords account with a budget of 80k per month and approx 1000 keywords. I' am considering using API to better manage the campaigns but I have no indication of the costs I will incur. Does anybody have a rough estimate of what costs this king of an account should incur if API was used. Hi Panagiotis, AFAIR, there is no minimum spend or cancellation fee for using the AdWords API. As for the costs incurred, it only depends on the number and type of transactions you are going to make via the API, so there's no quick answer to that. Have a look at the rate sheet https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/ratesheet to get an idea about the expected costs.
