Re: Granting api access

2014-09-29 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi Alon,

There are two options:

   1. Create a new user account (or use an existing Google account that is
not associated with any MCC or AdWords account) and grant it access to the
   AdWords account.
   2. Use a different (or new) MCC and grant it access to the AdWords
   account.

The advantage of approach #2 is that they could reuse the MCC for other
accounts. With approach #1, the (non-MCC) user account will only be able to
access the one AdWords account.

The reason for this is that each Google account can be *directly*
associated with at most one AdWords account or at most one MCC account
because AdWords needs to know where to take the user when they log in to
AdWords. If the user is associated with an MCC, he'll be taken to My Client
Center, where he can then add more accounts to the MCC. If the user is
associated with an AdWords account, he'll be taken to the AdWords UI but
won't be able to add more accounts.

Cheers,
Josh, AdWords API Team

Granting api access

2014-09-29 Thread Alon Raskin
Hi,

Id like to grant API access to a client for a single account, is that
possible? They already have an API username that has access to the accounts
MCC, but they asked to create a new one that will have access to only that
account.

Thanks for the advice,

Alon

Hi Dave,

I think that's not possible with AdWords today.

Re: Granting API Access

Anash,
Is it possible to grant API access to a single account with an MCC? At
present, there doesn't appear to be an option for that?
Dave.

Re: Granting API Access

2012-05-22 Thread Anash P. Oommen
Hi,

To grant API access to an MCC, you should link the account under that MCC.
See http://support.google.com/adwords/agency/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=7732
for
details. The API MCC will have full access to your data.
Alternately, you could invite a new user login to manage your account, and
give that login readonly access. Then share that login with Tenscores, and
then Tenscores will have only readonly access.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Granting API Access

2012-05-18 Thread Paddy Power
I want to grant API access to a Trusted Certified Adwords Supplier called
Tenscores. However, it is currently set at pending. There is no option for
me to enable this access. How can I proceed? Account [538-833-9578].

Furthermore, what restrictions can we place on access type. Is it complete
or read only? Could we theoretically restrict certain information?
