Hi Jay,

Yes, that is right. There are no fields specific to the cpc with the bid
modifier calculated. You can only get the base max cpc and the bid

These "Max CPC for Platforms" can only be calculated by the way above,
right? Is there any reports providing these data?

Re: Is there a 'Max CPC by Platform'?

2016-12-06 Thread Jay Zou
Using your example, can I say the Max CPC for Desktop is $4.74 = $3.16 * (1
+ 50%), Max CPC for Mobile is $3.8552 = $3.16 * (1 + 22%) and Max CPC for
Tablet is $3.16?

Am I right?

Hi Jay,

Please take a look at the screenshot attached. You can see the Max CPC is
$3.16. That is the value that will show up in micros

in the field CpcBid. The AdGroupDesktopBidModifier will have the value 50%.
The value for AdGroupMobileBidModifier will be 22% and the value for

Thanks for replying, Anthony. However I'm still not very clear on Max CPC
of each Platform.

Is "Max CPC for Mobile" the same with "Default Max CPC" (field "CpcBid")?

Re: Is there a 'Max CPC by Platform'?

2016-12-05 Thread 'Anthony Madrigal' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Jay,

The bid modifier gets applied to different values, depending on what bidding
strategy you
use. For example, if you use Manual CPC
,
the bid modifier will be applied to your max cpc.

You can use the AdGroup Performance Report

 to
get your bid modifiers using the fields AdGroupMobileBidModifier,
AdGroupDesktopBidModifier and AdGroupTabletBidModifier. You can select the
fields CpcBid, CpmBid, and CpvBid to see what bids are being used by what
ad group.

Similarly, you can use the Campaign Performance Report

 to
get the bid modifiers that are set from the campaign level.

Cheers,
Anthony

Is there a 'Max CPC by Platform'?

2016-12-05 Thread Jay Zou
Using 'AdGroupBidModifierService
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201609/AdGroupBidModifierService>',

we are able to change Ad group's bid by Platform, like 'Mobile', 'Desktop'
and 'Tablet'. Here is example of it
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-python-lib/blob/master/examples/adwords/v201609/advanced_operations/add_ad_group_bid_modifier.py>
.

My question is, what 'bid' does AdGroupBidModifierService
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201609/AdGroupBidModifierService>
 is
trying to change here? Is it Max CPC by Platform?

If so, is there a parameter named 'Max CPC on Desktop' of keywords or ad
group? How can we report these parameters?

Thanks
