RE: Fields that were supported in Adwords API are not in Ads API

2021-11-12 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

Hope you're safe and doing fine.

We received an update from our team regarding the error you've encountered. As
per this migration mapping guide, the PLACEHOLDER_FEED_ITEM_REPORT is mapped to
feed_item and feed_item_target. Those mentioned fields encountered an error
when using the feed_item_target because this view doesn't support metrics. That
said, you can use the feed_item view instead.

Regards,

RE: Fields that were supported in Adwords API are not in Ads API

2021-11-04 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I understand your concern as to some fields are previously supported in the
AdWords API and are no longer supported in the Google Ads API. We have raised
multiple feature requests for those fields already; however, there is no
guarantee if this will be supported in the API soon. In the meantime, we
suggest that you follow our blog for updates and new releases.

As an aside, since you're migrating to the Google Ads API, we recommend using
the Query Migration Tool to translate your AWQL queries into GAQL.
