Re: Error checking authorization

2017-09-11 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tim,

Apologies for the delayed response.

For both OAuth2TokenBuilder and AdWordsSessionBuilder, a known exception to
be thrown is InvalidArgumentException

. For other generic API exceptions, an ApiException

 is
thrown.

With this, you can implement an exception handling mechanism on your end
and catch these exceptions for further processing.

Thanks,
Vincent

Re: "error": "unauthorized_client"

2017-08-31 Thread Tim Johnson
Hi Vincent,

Thanks very much for the prompt reply; I really appreciate it.

Concerning the nature of the application: I believe it is a installed app
under that definition, but it depends on your definition of callback. I
will need users to redirect back to my page after the click a button to
authorize access (as specified in the redirect_uri). So in that sense, it
will need a callback. However, other than that: no it will not need a
callback. After they grant my app access to adwords, I will redirect to
the site and my app will use that code to get a refresh token in the
background. From them onwards, I intend on making API calls to their
behalf in the back-end of my program.

So am i correct in assuming this is then an installed app. And then if so,
how do I handle several users- is the "ClientCustomerId" needed for every
call. Is the refresh token not enough to verify specific calls to specific
campaigns and adsets?

Cheers,
Greg

Hi Tim,

If you are using a web application type of authentication, then your app
requires callback URLs. You are also generating a client ID based on your
web application primarily. Could you confirm if this is indeed the nature
of your application? To know more regarding the difference between web
application and installed application types, kindly refer here
.

Also, for your issue in web application type (if you can confirm that this
is really your application type based on the nature of your application),
please ensure that you followed the steps here

.

Furthermore, based on your description (regular account which you also used
in other Google APIs) of your client ID, then the recommended application
type for you is installed application. You also don't need to authenticate
as service account as this requires GSuite domains. For installed
application type, kindly generate a new client ID and secret by following
the instructions here

.

Let me know if you encounter any issues after doing the suggestion.

Hi Ronak,

The Placeholder report

 does
not support zero impression. If you'll check the CampaignId

 and AdGroupId

 attributes
in the said report, the value for "Supports Zero Impressions" is false.
That said, you need to set the includeZeroImpressions

to *false* in your request.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Would you be able to share the SOAP logs for this operation along with the
clientCustomerId in the request header? If you haven't enabled logging yet,
please check my previous post for the guide to enable logging.

In migrating to the latest version, could you confirm if you followed the
migration
guide
 and
if you double checked if you have imported the appropriate
libraries/classes into your code? Additionally, since this appears to be
more related to the Java client library rather than the AdWords API itself,
you may get in touch with the Java client library owners via this link
 as they may be
able to provide better assistance regarding your issue.

Could you confirm if you also encounter errors while using other conversion

these values? If the issue persists while using other language codes,
please send to me the generated SOAP request and response logs and you may

I also noticed that you are currently using a deprecated version

we are concerned that if the bad requests we make in our operation, may
become negative factor during future audit when we want to upgrade to
standard access sometime in the future

2017-03-29 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Iai,

The error mentioned in the forum does not necessarily require an entity to
upgrade from basic access to standard access. Upgrading to standard access
is considered when an entity is projected to or is currently already
reaching the limits of a basic access level. For more information on access
levels, you may refer here

Our rate limits

Re: Error while running 'ruby setup_oauth2.rb' while setting up the client library

2017-03-28 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Arjun,

You may see a USER_PERMISSION_DENIED

 error
if there is no link between the manager account (authenticated via OAuth
credentials) and the client AdWords account (specified in the request
header). Could you also perform a ManagedCustomerService.get()

 request
to see if your client account is linked to your manager account? Regarding
the other issue, could you please open a new issue on the Ruby client
library github repository
, since this looks
particular to the client library?

Hi Vishal,

This works fine from the console.

But via the Rails app when I require the adwords_api file in the login
controller, I am getting the same error I got before in console.
'Cannot load such a file'.
Any idea how I could fix this in the Rails app?

Thanks

I checked my file adwords_api.yml file and all the data is correct.

Re: Error Ad Group Does not exist, but it exist.

2017-03-10 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

To help us narrow down the root cause of the EntityNotFound.INVALID_ID

 error,
could you provide us the SOAP request and response when you encountered the
error? Please reply privately when sending the requested information.

As for the 10k operations, are you using BatchJobService
?

Do note that if you are creating a complete hierarchy of campaigns down to
its ad groups and the ad group ads, make sure that appropriate sequence of
operations are called accordingly depending on their hierarchy. For
example, campaigns should be created first before you call the operation
for creation and adding of ad groups to campaigns and so on.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Error "Class 'Google\AdsApi\Common\OAuth2TokenBuilder' not found"

2017-01-17 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Sarvagya,

Were you able to follow these steps
 to install
the client library? Also, did you use Composer for
this purpose? Composer helps download dependencies which are required
within your project. If that doesn't help, I would recommend posting your
issue on the the Github repository of the PHP client library
, since our client
library team would be better able to help you with this issue.

Vishal, AdWords API Team

Re: Error removing ShareSet

2016-11-22 Thread 'Thanet Knack Praneenararat (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello Ian,

SharedSetService returns only *referenceCount* in the specified client
customer ID only.
Your manager account (223-833-0176) has shared the negative keyword list to
the client customer ID 610-370-7004 and 558-733-1832 as well.

Could you please check those two accounts and remove the association to the
negative keyword list first?

Best,
Thanet, AdWords API Team

PS. Your email seems to be unreachable. Could you please check that too?

Hi Mikkel,

Could you retry the request by creating new AdGroupAd objects rather than
changing the status of the ad objects returned in the response? If you
include attributes other than the status in the AdGroupAdOperation, you'll
encounter AdError.CANNOT_USE_AD_SUBCLASS_FOR_OPERATOR

Have you tried using the examples provided in the client libraries

Re: Error: EntityCountLimitExceeded.ACCOUNT_LIMIT

2016-10-04 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Biniam,

Unfortunately, AdWords accounts have a limit of a maximum of 5 million ad
group targeting items per account (such as keywords, placements, and
audience lists). If you already have keywords added, I would recommend
downloading the Keyword Performance Report
,
 identifying
the keywords with low impressions (or the once which are paused as a result
of campaign/ad group being paused), deleting the low impressions/paused
keywords from your list and retrying your original API action.

The main error is `EntityCountLimitExceeded.ACCOUNT_LIMIT` and the cause is
`ADGROUP_KEYWORDS_PER_ACCOUNT`.

The limit is 5 million but we have 5,007,963 keywords in account customer

What do you recommend as a preventive mechanism or a solution?

Hi,

Were you able to follow these steps

 to
generate your refresh token? Please ensure you are using the correct client
ID in your properties file. One thing to note when using the PHP client
library is that all examples are meant to be run via the command line (and
not the web browser). If that information is not helpful, could you please
elaborate on the action that you are trying to perform (for example trying
to fetch campaign info using GetCampaigns.php etc.)? Any screenshots / SOAP
XML logs that you might have would help me debug the issue.

Re: Error: Missing report definition

2016-09-09 Thread Pierre Rudolfsson
Hi Josh,

Thank you for your quick feedback. Sorry, I was not providing the scope of
the question.

I wish to get access to the full API (i.e., not only reporting, and
specifically features like the DataService that are not accessible through
AdWords scripts) from GAS, in the same way I access it through the client
libraries (Python in this case).

I merely thought that starting with the simplest use case of fetching a
report would tell me how to get general access.

Thank you

Pierre

Hi,

Have you considered using AdWords Scripts
 instead? That would give
you a more robust interface for running reports (e.g., see the Create a
text report example
).

Thanks,

Re: Error: Missing report definition

2016-09-08 Thread Pierre Rudolfsson

This is an old question, but I'm having the same issue.

I am trying to access the Adword API from google apps script and I get the
same missing report definition error as above. I believe that the error is
in the structure of the request. This is the code I use:

  var request = {
method: "POST",
muteHttpExceptions: true,
headers : {
  Authorization: 'Bearer ' + ACCESS_TOKEN,
  developerToken: DEVELOPER_TOKEN,
  clientCustomerId: CLIENT_CUSTOMER_ID},
payload : {'__fmt': 'CSV', '__rdquery': 'SELECT CampaignName FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING LAST_7_DAYS'},
contentType: 'multipart/form-data;
boundary=12d01fae60c7b559'
}

var txtReq = UrlFetchApp.getRequest(urlEndPoint, request)
  Logger.log(txtReq)
  var response = UrlFetchApp.fetch(urlEndPoint, request)
  Logger.log(response)

enhanced CPC for the manual CPC bidding strategy (see the *Deprecated* section

If the above is true why does Google AdWords management console offers a
check box to enable ECPC with Manual CPC as recommended in Google
documentations here
. In this link
scroll down and read* "How to turn on ECPC"*. There seems to be a

Re: error concerning 24 hours delay after posting

2016-06-15 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Karl,

You could consider setting up conversion tracking
 on
your website. If this is not an option, you *have *to wait the required
amount of time for the information to propagate in the system when you
import conversions. Once the UploadConversion

 object
is created, it is recommended

 that
you wait 6 hrs before you upload the conversions.

The current thread is more than two years old. Please create a new thread
in the future to avoid spam of the original topic participants.

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Sorry for the delay. Glad to hear that the DUPLICATE_ELEMENT error was

For this ascii error, you can file an issue in the python client library's

track the analysis and resolution of this problem.

Re: error when using TargetingIdeaService to get STATS

Hi Daphna,

This seems to be an issue with how suds handles Unicode in Python 2.
However, as a workaround, you need to send Unicode content in a Unicode
string rather than encoding it.

You can change your default encoding as seen in PEP 0263

 and
use those characters directly.

I will send you the SOAP request, one more thing I am noticing is that the

following error using the same code and keywords:

'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xe6 in position 13: ordinal not in range(128)

Re: "error" : "invalid_grant", "error_description" : "Invalid code." while authenticating

2016-05-03 Thread Mhamad Canaan
Hi,

I don't really know what is the problem, I am trying to do the
authentication as dynamic, it works when i do it on my local host, the code
I wrote takes the user to the AdWords sign in page and lets him accept to
manage his account through my software, and it gives back the code and the
code is generated into refresh token.

But when I integrated this code into the web application it gave me this
error and I don't understand what it is, it is giving back the code but
cant generate it into refresh token.

Glad to hear you found a solution! I'm still going to follow up with

which would have saved everyone a lot of time.

2016-05-02 Thread fischi
Hello again,

I got some good news and we found the source of the error.
When we tried to do the request, the account was not finished in setting
up. So the UNKNOWN_ERROR seems to be caused after the NOT_ADS_USER error,
as this is not thrown.

Thank you very much for your cooperation, and apologies for not being able
to provide further information about the AdWordsaccount of the customer -
just ten minutes ago we found out about that after having a video
conference where we saw the AdWords account..

Have a nice day!

Cheers,

you can also try it using OAuth playground

I faced the same issue: firstly, you need to wait 30 days or more after

Re: Error UNKNOWN at CustomerService->get()

2016-04-15 Thread 'Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Thanks for the logs. Since this seems to be happening to you consistently,
I've contacted our engineering team to see if they're able to take a look
at what might be going wrong. I'll let you know when I hear something.

Regards,
Mike, AdWords API Team
