Re: Getting client/MCC ID for given credentials
Hi Dorian, We recently enabled a feature that allows for this. Re: Getting client/MCC ID for given credentials
Hi Dorian, It is a known issue, there is no way to find the ID via the API for unlinked account at the moment. We are working to fix it. For now, the only work around is to ask the user for the ID. -Danial, AdWords API Team. -- =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ Also find us on our blog and discussion group: http://adwordsapi.blogspot.com http://groups.google.com/group/adwords-api =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups AdWords API Forum group. Re: Getting client/MCC ID for given credentials
Sorry for reviving this thread once more, but I stumbled over a new issue. If we have a client that is not connected to a MCC at all, and we only know his account login, is there any way to find out his client ID? If I make a request against the ServicedAccountService in this case, the returned account list contains just one entry, looking like this: {'accounts': [{'canManageClients': 'false', 'customerId': '0'}]} Is there any other way to get the client ID for an arbitrary client login that is not associated with any MCC? Thanks and best regards On Feb 16, 7:17 pm, Dorian Kind dor...@webrepublic.ch wrote: Disregard my question; of course you don't have to provice a client ID to access ServicedAccountService. The way I see it is that there is no way to instantiate an AdwordsClient (which I would need to access ServicedAccountService) instance without specifying a client ID---so I would have to prepare a mapping login credentials - client ID/MCC ID, which would be a bit tedious to produce and maintain. Sorry if this is obvious, but I don't see how to solve this at the moment. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
