I need a survey stick with as much accuracy as I can get for the dollar.
Last time I bought one of these it was over $10K and had to use post
correction. Surly there is a better deal in the past 10 years.

Map grade accuracy is good enough for me. Sub 1 meter. Like to have the
stick with the antenna on top. Like to post correct. Just not sure what is
the latest out there.

Re: [AFMUG] Exchange Domain Controller expert wanted

2018-07-31 Thread Ryan Ray
I've built out 30k mailbox exchange implementations and honestly, unless
you have someone to keep up on the patches / maintenance it's probably
easier and cheaper to just use office 365.

To do exchange properly, you're going to need a spam appliance of some
sort, a couple load balancing appliances (f5).

You don't really move your virtual machine DC or Exchange VM's. You have
DAG groups with copies of your mailbox databases on multiple servers with
cheap spinning storage. You should never snapshot an exchange machine, or a
DC.

Fill out your requirements on here
https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Exchange-2013-Server-Role-f8a61780
and see what comes up.

Of course you can also do exchange improperly / non high available, one
server, one proxy server, if you lose it though, your email stops. So this
really comes down to how resilient you would like your email to be.

Public service commission of your state should have exchange boundary maps,
but the will probably be on paper. The various FCC/broadband maps may or
may not be accurate. The most precise map will be the state regulators,
PUC, PSC, Corporation Commission or whatever they are called there.

How about a very precise map?

I mentioned it to the cnPilot team last year at WISPApalooza. All that they
need to do is make cnMastro to recognize the serial numbers in the ReadyNet

Yeah, the 300 is eventually supposed to be able to connect to the old APs,
but I haven't heard anything about when that might be... all you can do

[AFMUG] Temporary BW operator

2018-07-31 Thread Nate Burke
We just provided services to an event WIFI guy, Patrick 411 Inc. at a
concert venue. He was easy to work with and knew what he wanted. And
most importantly paid on time. He's based out of Woodstock, IL, but
said he travels all over the country doing temporary WIFI Setups for
concerts, camps and conferences. If you get a call from him, he's worth
working with. He also proactively ask for a list of all of our
frequencies in the area so he could avoid them with his own on property
links and APs.

He's probably worked with many on this list before, Hopefully your
experiences were as good as mine. I just thought I'd give him a
recommendation if you get a call from him.

Last time I tried it, no they didn't talk to any of the existing N based

At the moment the only thing you can do with a 300 is a point to point.

I need a survey stick with as much accuracy as I can get for the dollar. Last
time I bought one of these it was over $10K and had to use post correction.
Surly there is a better deal in the past 10 years.

Map grade accuracy is good enough for me. Sub 1 meter. Like to have the stick
with the antenna on top. Like to post correct. Just not sure what is the
latest out there.

[AFMUG] Force200 vs Force300

2018-07-31 Thread Nate Burke
I was just going to order SM radios, and noticed that streakwave is out
of Force200, but has Force 300 radios. A cursory glance makes them look
about the same, but the 300 has more bells and whistles, and will talk
better to the upcoming 3000 AP. Will the F300 still talk to 1000 APs?

I need a survey stick with as much accuracy as I can get for the dollar. Last
time I bought one of these it was over $10K and had to use post correction.
Surly there is a better deal in the past 10 years.

Map grade accuracy is good enough for me. Sub 1 meter. Like to have the stick
with the antenna on top. Like to post correct. Just not sure what is the
latest out there.

[AFMUG] OT Moviepass

Now trading at 59.4 cents per share

Equivalent of .237 cents per share pre split.

I wonder how long the exchange will allow it to continue to trade. --

Takes them some time to make your account active so you can see the price.
I need a product that will also allow a large monitor to watch certain cameras.
