And there's always Keepass, but I think that requires access to the central password file at all times, might be hard to share between users. It would be nice to be able to only share certain passwords with certain users. Like Tech 1 can have Radios and Mikrotiks, but not VMWare. Re: [AFMUG] Business password managers
We use LastPass Enterprise. It integrates with our Active Directory for provisioning of users and group assignment. I have different groups and folders for different roles in the company. Each user can be in multiple groups. It's mostly headache-free (nothing in IT is totally headache-free). - Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing Solutions Midwest Internet Exchange The Brothers WISP - Original Message - From: "Nate Burke" To: "Animal Farm" Sent: Wednesday, February 8, 2023 4:38:52 PM Subject: [AFMUG] Business password managers I'm bringing on some more employees, so some sort of password manager would be nice to have, other than my personal one, and all the passwords I keep up in the old noggin. Re: [AFMUG] Business password managers
We use keepassxc and just put the password file into Dropbox and share that with the individual accounts that need it. We have the Dropbox business plan so we can delete the files from remote devices if we need to revoke access to the file. -- Christopher Tyler Senior Network Engineer MTCRE/MTCNA/MTCTCE/MTCWE Total Highspeed Internet Solutions 1091 W. Wouldnt it just save time to publish them to the dark web now instead of waiting for the inevitable? On Wed, Feb 8, 2023, 8:15 PM Josh Luthman wrote: > I personally use Keepass. Re: [AFMUG] Business password managers
I personally use Keepass. I'm not sharing between people really - there's one login for our Calix stuff that the techs save on their Keepass. For multiple people I don't think there's any good options besides Bitwarden. I use Lastpass, the only issues I have are occasional autofill failures. It also has the ability to share specific passwords with other users. Re: [AFMUG] Business password managers
We had been using LastPass until the broohaha, then we switched to BitWarden. My primary consideration is that it's open source, so if there are flaws, they get discovered quickly. They also only have one or two tracking hooks that are not commercial. The interface could be a little more polished, but the sharing options are nice. bp On 2/8/2023 2:38 PM, Nate Burke wrote: I'm bringing on some more employees, so some sort of password manager would be nice to have, other than my personal one, and all the passwords I keep up in the old noggin.
