2019-07-04 Thread Chuck McCown
Almost all of the radio manufacturers have a circular waveguide version. You
must have circular waveguide if you are doing dual pol.

But, it really doesn’t matter - the whole reason for selling these as
“Dragonwave” antennas is they controlled the flange or mount. I believe that
CommScope and RW were not allowed to sell the mount directly, and you had to go
through DW to get it. The specs on this antenna list it as single polarized,
and you’ll have to look at the feedhorn to see what you have here. If it’s not
circular, you will have to get a dual-polarized feedhorn.

I’m not up to speed on Chuck’s adaptor, but you may have to remove the DW
flange or mount to get this to work properly with it. Hopefully an OMT is
included somewhere in here?

My versions match the radio, not the antenna. In other words, I don’t care
what the antenna is, if it was designed to work with a Remec, or DW or Exalt or
whatever my adapter will fit.

My adapter is a circular to sma adapter. The interface is mechanically
identical to the radio. So it fits over the nose of the antenna in the same
way the radio does.

through DW to get it.

Did you make sure you have the duplexors connected the right direction? I
did that wrong once... and make sure you have the right duplexors for the
sub-band you're on.

It's important to note when you attach the duplexors to the radio that
you are tightening both SMA connectors at the same time.
They warn about damage than can occur if you tighten them down one at a
time.

We're going to double-check the tightness of the adapter and swap the leads

Correct TX Power in the AF11? Have you checked the adapter is still
tight on the dish? We had one where the clips wouldn't stay latched.
We had to secure them with zipties.
