hardware thing or a software thing. I'm assuming you've got the latest
supported firmware in it?

It is a little odd, but it happens sometimes...

I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually 8mm, and they just say 5/16"
because that's more common for nut drivers (in the US, anyway).

[AFMUG] Rohn 25 on metal building

2018-03-20 Thread TJ Trout
I'm building a 40x40 or possibly 50x60 steel building. I would like to
install a guyed 25g on the peak (about 20ft peak from ground level with
16ft walls)

If I guy off 4 times how high can I go?

Any way to do 100ft or ten sections ? I'm assuming my guy span isn't far
out enough.

I know what's on the drawings but I am looking for some real world
feedback

Thank you very much

Are you setting up all of your 900mhz 450I to be dual-pol instead of
dual-slant? That simplifies procuring antennas but is not to Cambium standard.
It depends how flat the ground around you is, but at that distance the downtilt
will usually be zero.

What dual polarity 900mhz antennas are you finding that aren't slant?

Also, it works fine to mix slant and H/V between the APs and SMS with
PMP450.

Cutting unnecessary stuff out of the scan list does help, but beyond that I

like it takes longer when you have a weak signal... I kind of wonder if
that's by design to keep them from connecting to the wrong AP to quickly.
