[AFMUG] Enclosures

2015-12-14 Thread Mike Hammett
For those in northern Illinois, where are you guys getting your outdoor
enclosures ? It doesn't seem like the electric supply houses stock useful sizes
that cost less than a used car.

I realized last night that the equipment I was going to put in a box today
won't fit in said box.

I don't think I knew they had a warehouse in Kenosha. I discarded them in the
past as I didn't want to go to Saginaw MI to pick it up and I wouldn't want to
pay to ship something that large. Kenosha is reasonable.

I would love it if somebody would host a warehouse of images, diagrams and
kudos for wisp enclosures (and other misc prettiness) for design reference.
I have pretty box folders with pictures I try to steal ideas from, but
always end up with disorganized chaos thats one opening of the door away
from catastrophe.

What id really love to see is a timeline of images of someone who has
progressed from AC power only to DC plant. batteries running our AC plant
just to get us back to DC is killing us, smalls

I was wondering what brand of enclosure that is. I like the little standoffs
on the door.

I really wish Mikrotik made DIN mount switches. I also wish they made
them with 802.3at POE output.

Some do have 802.3xx PoE output, thought hey may not be shipping yet.

I don't know of any DIN mount ones, but you could probably fashion something.
