Re: [AFMUG] FW: Introducing airFiber X
I'm guessing AF5 chipset with the same 2-antenna support, some kind of self-feedback test to force correct setup / antenna choices, and up to 80mhz channels at 1024QAM... Allowing 2gbps (1gbps FD) in 5.4ghz where there is spectrum, or 1.4gbps in 5.8. Put it on 6ft dishes and you have one impressive link. -Original Message- From: Mathew Howard mhoward...@gmail.com Sender: Af af-boun...@afmug.com Date: Mon, 2 Feb 2015 20:16:12 To: afaf@afmug.com Reply-To: af@afmug.com Subject: Re: [AFMUG] FW: Introducing airFiber X Who knows, it could be almost anything, didn't they originally say something like they couldn't do a connectorized version because the antennas needed to be very specific to make full duplex work? The $399 price point doesn’t matter so much if you couple it to $4000 worth of antennas. Anyone else notice the World-Breaking Range I’d guess we have about a year to wait till they break the world. Perhaps a little longer as it might take a bit to shake the bugs out and get it to distribution.
