[AFMUG] Pre terminated fiber assemblies

2016-11-30 Thread Steve Utick
I've got a project that I need a Pre terminated fiber assembly to pull
through a conduit. What vendors are people using for this these days?
Want pulling eyes and stuff on it.

Thanks

terminating fiber today is easier than terminating a RJ45 and you don't
need any special tools besides a cleve. AFL fast connectors, watch a video.

FS.com has pre-term cables at really cheap prices. Check the Singlemode
armored it's really nice.

If you're thinking about buying a pre terminated LC or SC connectorized
cable and pulling it through a conduit, DON'T.

Buy one singlemode, MTP terminated cable and plug it into an MTP
cassette/module on both ends.

this is just an example of what one looks like, there's tons of generic
vendor choices.
