[AFMUG] Pre terminated fiber assemblies
I've got a project that I need a Pre terminated fiber assembly to pull through a conduit. What vendors are people using for this these days? Want pulling eyes and stuff on it. Thanks
Re: [AFMUG] Pre terminated fiber assemblies
terminating fiber today is easier than terminating a RJ45 and you don't need any special tools besides a cleve. AFL fast connectors, watch a video. FS.com has pre-term cables at really cheap prices. Check the Singlemode armored it's really nice. On Wed, Nov 30, 2016 at 8:44 AM, Steve Utick wrote: > I've got a project that I need a Pre terminated fiber assembly to pull > through a conduit. If you're thinking about buying a pre terminated LC or SC connectorized cable and pulling it through a conduit, DON'T. Buy one singlemode, MTP terminated cable and plug it into an MTP cassette/module on both ends. https://www.google.com/search?q=mtp+connector+cassette&oq=mtp+connector+cassette&aqs=chrome..69i57.2636j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 this is just an example of what one looks like, there's tons of generic vendor choices. http://fibertronics-store.com/12-Fiber-MTP-MPO-female-to-SC-Duplex-Singlemode-Cassette-MTC-12SCH19L.htm On Wed, Nov 30, 2016 at 8:44 AM, Steve Utick wrote: > I've got a project that I need a Pre terminated fiber assembly to pull > through a conduit.
