[AFMUG] running ImageStream SW on different hardware

2014-12-03 Thread Paul McCall via Af
We have been running Imagestream Rebel GE (latest REV) at the core for a while
now, and been problem free. IS because we run Azotel (without Radius) and IS
runs Azotel's WIB (control software).

We are adding more BW (Gig connections) and fear that the IS router might not
be able to handle the BW. We are keeping Azotel for sure, and they suggest
Radius, but I have gotten by all these years without it (we DID use it in our
dialup days) so would like to avoid it still.

Was wondering if anyone had heart of running Imagestream flavor of linux on
other boxes?

Not that I have ever heard of.

They still sell new routers. why not just buy a new Imagestream to handle
what you are doing?

Also don't be afraid of radius...it's pretty mature and solid.

All of our routers are Imagestream

We have their fastest model. Some people have been complaining about it

Radius is probably the easiest thing to get working across all platforms,
isn't it? Short of static addresses.
