I cant speak my mind anywhere on the internet with you pussies everywhere. We dont need faggoty japanese monkeys stealing all our technology, and niggers getting hired in places where they cant do any good, The more niggers you hire, the shitter everything runs. Raise your nigger kids, you fucking absolute fucktards, your all just too scared an ape is going to punch you if you say the shitty n-word, where all it means is "APE" itself, it doesnt mean anymore than that. [agi] Re: This Professor’s ‘Amazing’ Trick Makes Quadratic Equations Easier
Im not sure what im looking at here, but two linear equations multiplied together would indeed be a curve. But ive got one thing to say, the total amount of bits you represent the linear side with, is the only data the curved side will have as well. You CANT invent data from less data, UNLESS its a repetition. So this "larger factor" from a "smaller factor" can only mean repetition, not any new context. Cause otherwise you could repeat the process ad infinitum, and it doesnt make logical sense at all. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Tfeccd81f7ad3e928-M6bdfd4c814f5c95c14e057a5 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

yep. harmonics are a fractal, zooming into an electron microscope is a fractal. i agree with the "ppl are parallel universes" one. sounds true to me. on harmonics as a fractal-> If you just get the difference on adjacent samples on a complex wave, you pick up the jiggle of the nyquist frequency, all other frequencies are the bass waves underneath it. Glad you took a peek at it. Yes mechanical + hydrolic + pneumatic logic has a tendancy to snowball even simple ideas. Ha about the pneumatic space traveller - did it have a sail? I had an idea about that too, about conserving the air molecules hehe. I hope to get it done by tomorrow, im going to try and get it back to 1 layer. I think it really depends on the model if it 3d prints or not in 1 piece, which is what im looking to do. The pneumatic computer will tower slices on slices for its "alu" space, but i need to make it so consequtive layers can actually print, cause at the moment its looking a little doubtful, but i probably can get this one actuator level to work. It has buttons where the brain pushes and the power is central in the middle, which at the moment im thinking of just cranking with an electic motor just to get started. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T030649bffea6664d-M5e411ba1060c181fa1af401c Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Re: [agi] General Intelligence vs. no-free-lunch theorem
one more thing. is it doesnt matter how computational the transform is for the rules of the system, the only outputs you can get is 2^inputs, the actual transform from I to O is actually disregarded, and only the permutations of the input can be the amount of output possibilities. OUTPUTS = 2^INPUTS. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T353f2000d499d93b-M375cb40c8a84cf34a90a3490 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
Re: [agi] General Intelligence vs. no-free-lunch theorem
John Rose you are right. most of the exponent of the states for any space arent even possible to get to! because it must maintain the rules of the system, so alot of states (and im saying more than half of them) arent even accessed, because they are impossibilities. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T353f2000d499d93b-M0ae7752236daab499ace3839 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Yeh I guess your right, another problem is how long it takes to train, then gaps in the training set, yes, but i dont believe there isnt a solution to get over these combinatorial explosions that get us a.i. programmers down. there is solutions, and if you find them, then you get to jump on the free lunch train once you get there. :) anyhow, thats just me anyway, theres many ways to take this "ai programming life situation" i only do it as i do it. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T353f2000d499d93b-Mb72e5602130623967e202b6a Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
Re: [agi] Re: General Intelligence vs. no-free-lunch theorem
Well, i have to differ about this specialized a.i. thing your talking about. Machine Learning, or deep learning, or whatever ppl call it. (which i dont much partake in, i do things in my own way, i usually just use ordinary key matching and thats it. does voice recognition, and data generation/simulation fine.) sorta actually *DOES* handle all tasks equally well, its an approximation of brute force search, and it has no real target application, u can use it for anything. The fact is, its not the exact perfect result to the heuristic, then ppl start complaining that it doesnt work, but a more experienced scientist does know, i think. ;) -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T353f2000d499d93b-M2d5c458f55a7b47f1ec9e787 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Re: [agi] Re: Real AGI Brain
If you had your gig training set, youd like it if the model always said that was in the training text, then you let the computer find the compression for you. Re: [agi] Re: Real AGI Brain
However you do it, If theres no repetition theres no possible compression... its a losing game unless you find where the repetition is. Counting 1's and 0's gets you log over the bits, but you lose topological position, and its only good for say, getting the area of a circle for computing pi. then of course you get the humoungous number on a terrabit disk :) -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T409fc28ec41e6e3a-M058890403ff8ea148f08a81d Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
