Refer half adder :)

*sum = a ^ b;
carry = a  b;
while (carry != 0)
{
carry = 1;
a = sum;
b = carry;
sum = a ^ b;
carry = a  b;
}*

2011-08-20 Thread Puneet Chawla
For subtraction we can use the same add function

int add(int a, int b)
{
while (a) {
a = (a  b)  1;
b = a^b;
}
return b;
}

int sub(int a, int b)   // add a with b's 2's
complement.
{
return (add(a, add(~b, 1)));
}
