If it works correctly in your computer, the problem is in my installation. So this is not a bug, I think. :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 483080] Git icons appear only if a new Dolphin tab is opened
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483080 --- Comment #6 from Aldo Latino --- Going further in this investigation, I noticed that, if I open Dolphin directly in a folder different from my home, the green check marks appear regularly. If I open Dolphin directly in my home directory, they don't appear. So it's not a matter of what option is chosen in Dolphin preferences. The situation is that home folder must not be opened immediately when you open Dolphin. Steps to reproduce: 1) open Dolphin 2) make sure you have activated the option to open the last directory when you close Dolphin 3) close all tabs, leaving only a single tab 4) go to your home directory 4) close Dolphin 5) reopen Dolphin (it should be in your home directory) 6) go to a directory under Git control 7) the green check marks are not displayed Now another test: 1) open Dolphin 2) make sure you have activated the option to open the last directory when you close Dolphin 3) close all tabs, leaving only a single tab 4) go to any directory different from your home (for example go to Desktop) 5) close Dolphin 6) open Dolphin (it should show your last folder, for example, your Desktop) 7) go to a directory under Git control 8) the green check marks are displayed This is what happens in my installation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 483080] Git icons appear only if a new Dolphin tab is opened
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483080 --- Comment #4 from Aldo Latino --- (In reply to Nikolai Krasheninnikov from comment #3) > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=450944 looks same, may also be closed Sure, it's the same "bug" report. In the meantime, I found an interesting thing. In Dolphin, if you activate the option to show your home as starting directory when you open a new instance of Dolphin, the green check marks don't appear over the files in a directory under Git control. If you setup another directory (e.g, /home/user/Desktop), the green check marks appear. And they appear also if you leave active the first option to remember last opened directory and tabs. In other words, if in dolphinrc config file we have these options together: HomeUrl=/home/aldo/any-folder RememberOpenedTabs=false the green check marks appear. If we have this option only without "HomeUrl" RememberOpenedTabs=false the green check marks don't appear. Can you confirm this behavior? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[dolphin] [Bug 483080] New: Git icons appear only if a new Dolphin tab is opened
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483080 Bug ID: 483080 Summary: Git icons appear only if a new Dolphin tab is opened Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 24.02.0 Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: plugins: git Assignee: sebast...@sebastian-doerner.de Reporter: aldo.lat...@mailbox.org CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When you open a Dolphin window and go inside a directory that is under Git control, the "green check marks" do not appear over the files icons. In order to see these "green check marks", you have to open a new tab in the same window and the green icons (or other icons according to their Git status) appear over the files. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Dolphin activate the Git plugin. 2. Open a new Dolphin window. 3. Go inside a directory that is under Git control. 4. The green check marks (or other Git status marks) are not shown. 5. In the same window open a new tab (press CTRL+T). 6. The green check marks (and other status marks) are now correctly shown. OBSERVED RESULT Opening a directory that is under Git control does not show the status of the files and directories in the repository using the various marks (green checks, orange up arrow, etc.) according to their status. EXPECTED RESULT Opening a directory that is under Git control should show the status of the various files in the repository. On KDE neon with Plasma 5.23.3 and KDE Frameworks 5.87.0, with "Open new folders in tabs" and "Show on Startup: Folder, tabs, and window state from last time" options activated, the behavior is this: - compressing a file opens the action result in a new tab; - decompressing a file works as expected (no new tab is opened). [Mediawiki-l] Unable to make SVG's thumbnail
Hi all, this is my first post in this mailing-list and I say hello to everyone. I just upgraded my MW installation to 1.14. Before upgrade, all things were working perfectly, even the SVG thumbnailing. After the upgrade, when an SVG is uploaded, I receive this error: Warning: passthru() has been disabled for security reasons in /path/to/home/includes/GlobalFunctions.php on line 2131 The server admin, in fact, has disabled passthru(). I have always used this to render my SVGs: $wgSVGConverter = rsvg; What can I do to have back this function? Info about my server (I do not have root access to it): MediaWiki 1.14.0 PHP 5.2.9 (cgi) MySQL 5.0.68-log Thank you for any support. P.S. [Bug 364328] Re: Nautilus makes a copy of files and folders when dragged to desktop
None issue in guest session. I made this steps (I hope useful to identify the origin of the issue): 1. in this moment the issue is not present on my usual user, as explained in the first post [1] 2. logged out and re-logged in: the issue comes back again 3. from my users, entered in guest session 4. created a folder onto the desktop 5. created a file (a folder would be the same) inside that folder 6. moved that file correctly to the desktop, as expected 7. exit from guest session 8. re-logged into my usual user 9. the issue is still there. [Bug 364328] [NEW] Nautilus makes a copy of files and folders when dragged to desktop
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I am using Ubuntu 9.04, a fresh install using my various old home settings. Nautilus is 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu1. I am using 'desktop_is_home_dir' setting and I am using folders *not* in browsing mode. The situation. [Bug 219345] Re: random freezes on Ubunt Hardy Heron
An update regarding my freezes. I wrote above [1] about a possible workaround. This workaround isn't the solution to my problem. Here my update. I have a USB ports multiplier, connected to a PCI slot. This device also has an external unit that brings 7 ports in front of the PC (3 USB, 1 SD, 1 Compact Flash, and so on). The external unit is connected to the internal part via a usual USB connector. If I disconnect the external unit - leaving the PCI card connected and fully functional into the PC - the freezes disappear. In this moment I am not using the options for kernel booting which I have indicated above [2]. Perhaps the problem is related to USB in any way? I found a trick in this post [1] on ubuntu forums suggesting to add this values to kernel boot options line in /boot/grub/menu.lst: highres=off nohz=off irqpoll I added this values and from yesterday until now none freeze occurred (remember: I had many freezes in one day). [Bug 219345] Re: random freezes on Ubunt Hardy Heron
I use regularly Ubuntu from Breezy Badger and I never had a problem. Since I use (either upgrading or fresh installing) Hardy Heron my system freezes: the keyboard and the mouse are useless, so I have to make a hard-reset (damaging my filesystem). The problem is not related to high temperature, because the system freezes also when I turn it on and the hardware is cold. The problem occurs randomly: I am not able to find the reason, because it happens in different situations; it's not reproducible for me now. If I downgrade to Gutsy all works fine; if I use Debian Etch or Windows XP all is ok. Only in Hardy I have these problem. Here my system: Pentium 4 1.7 GHz, 1 GB RAM, power unit of 450 W, video card Ati AIW 9800SE (either with open drivers or fglrx), two 120 e 160 GB hard disks, DVD burner, audio SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum EX, network card Realtek, a multiple card reader on slot PCI, a wacom tablet intuos 9x12 USB. -- random freezes on Ubunt Hardy Heron https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219345 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 78308] Re: Enigmail cannot sign or decrypt an email
so this bug is not about enigmail not being able to sign email, but about a not supported charsets for passphrase? 1. Problem one: the passphrase. Probably yes. The passphrase must have unaccented characters to be usable. 2. Problem two: the plain text. But take a look here too. When the plain message contains accented letters, these are wrongly reproduced when the message is decrypted, as I described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/enigmail/+bug/78308/comments/4 I think there is a problem in the used charset, either for the passphrase, or for the plain text. [Bug 78308] Re: Enigmail cannot sign or decrypt an email
I changed my passphrase containing accented letters in one without accents. All goes fine. But I think this is a fake solution, because using an extended charset with accents and special characters (like # $ £ *) is a good idea for a better security. Another thing. When I wrote a message containing accented letters, like this phrase: questa è una prova, the process of signing and cyphering goes well, but the resulting decrypted and verified message is: questa Ú una prova. The accented letter è in clear message is wrong. I think there is a problem in charset. Please, verify this issue!
