Re: [all-audio] wanting for iPhone to come out in stereo with my voice¿
Hi Gera, You write: the new Laptop has no line-in or mike ports like my previous one with Windows7... what ideas/suggestions might you guys have Two questions, if I may ask them. First, are you sure that your new laptop has no line-in? Many laptops have a single jack which, like that on the iPhone, serves for input and output. Some laptops allow you to set the jack as being line-in or microphone input, and you can then use a splitter to send input and output to the same jack. Note, though, that laptop audio will almost always be worse than audio from an external sound device. It may be worth looking into whether all you need is a splitter. Secondly, would it be possible to buy a cheap USB sound device? These can be obtained quite cheaply, under $20 USD, and will almost have either 3.5 or RCA line level input to which you can connect the device you seem to be using as a mixer. I hope that's of use. [all-audio] Favorite Snap Off For H6
Hi. Which snap off do you all prefer using on your H6? I like the brightness and condencerieness of the XY mics. But as they are pointed in the way they are they aren't wide enough for me. Even at 120. I like the MS one. Just cause it's wider. I do want to get the XLR 1. Oh and a side question, for those whom have gotten an IPhone 10, How does 1 use Voice over on it? How does 1 close apps with voice over on it? Thanks. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group. Re: [all-audio] Features of the Zoom H6 to save the day
Ah really? I didn't notice that. Have you updated your H6? Maybe I haven't recorded anything where that would be noted. But I do remember the pause problem Neal once had. I don't get what's with those processing bugs in the firmware. On 11/14/2018 3:17 PM, Dane Trethowan wrote: I never use the Pre-Record feature as it has a serious flaw. Put simply when in record mode the Zoom H6 recorder makes 2 simultaneous stereo recordings but there’s a difference between the 2 as one is recorded at a 12DB lower level than the other thus if unexpected loud noise should make itself present then you’ll be able to save the day by using the lower level backup. Backup recordings can only be made in wave format and only for stereo and not multi track recordings which is a bit of a disappointment but still far better than nothing. Now that I have Backup Recordings enabled I really should think about putting a higher capacity memory card into the unit so I may go all the way up to 128GB. ** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind. ** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group. Re: [all-audio] Features of the Zoom H6 to save the day
That’s pretty much what I said, backups can only be used for stereo recordings and stereo recordings - in the case of the h6 - refers to the microphone capsules or the external XLR capsule that can be purchased to take the place of the stereo microphones. > On 15 Nov 2018, at 4:46 am, Hamit Campos wrote: > > Also note that the back ups can only be for the LR track. Also note that the back ups can only be for the LR track. Meaning that snapp off part. It doesn't work even in stereo if you use the XLRs. Maybe if you buy the snapp off with the XLRs on it. Re: [all-audio] Recommendation for Against-the-Ear Headphones Wanted
Over-the-ear more noise-cancelling? H'mm. I would have thought it was the opposite, the earcups providing some acoustic isolation. Many decades ago I owned a pair of headphones from a company called Featherlight. They were flush up against the ear, no cups, no acoustic isolation of any kind, and man could those things pump out bass! And yes, they were definitely feather-light. They might even have been one of the early electrostatic models. They didn't require external power though, but they were thin thin thin and definitely very light on the head and ears. They sounded like the drivers were practically in my ears. Very nice 'phones. Don't know what ever happened to them, but they did disappear, quite possibly nicked by my brother, who removed a lot of my better stereo gear (not to mention records) while I was away at school every week! [all-audio] Features of the Zoom H6 to save the day
Hi. I had a free moment earlier today so thought I’d explore more functions of the Zoom H6.
