Re: [all-audio] Hosting a Podcast
Hi Christopher. Thanks very much for your suggestions. I was aware of Libsyn but didn't know whether or not the webpage offered in their deals would have to be configured. Haven't heard of the other two at all, so I look forward to investigating those. BTW, my self-employed work is all about media and communication (broadcasting, interviewing, creative writing, etc), so this will be a professional project and I really appreciate your kindness in coming forward to share your own professional experiences. If you'd like to connect off-list, feel free to let me know. All my best for now, Danny On 1/13/19, Christopher Wright wrote: > As someone who deals with podcast production for a living, I can give > you some guidance on this. > > > As you said, Wordpress is often used. As someone who deals with podcast production for a living, I can give you some guidance on this. As you said, Wordpress is often used. Once the theme is configured, you don't need to do too much messing around with it. A Decent Wordpress-independent solution is Libsyn. www.libsyn.com Another option is Buzzsprout. www.buzzsprout.com Here's one more, Blubrry. www.blubrry.com Although Blubrry seems to be more focused on Wordpress, compared to the other two I mentioned, I like the accessibility. Re: [all-audio] [Mac-Access]: Apple Provides List Of Upcoming Airplay2-enabled Smart TVs
Only a personal opinion of course. I think Apple have left this all too late. Any Smart TV these days has Chromecast as part of it. Then the question pops up. Suppose you get a Television that is Airplay II compatible then why on earth would you worry about getting an Apple TV? We have to remind ourselves too that these models as I understand it aren’t available right now rather they are planned for the future. > On 13 Jan 2019, at 5:01 am, Anders Holmberg wrote: > > Hi! > They removed the airports but still going for airplay. > Really interesting. > Why not instead add Chromecast for apple music. > /A > >> 12 jan. 2019 kl. 18:26 skrev Dane Trethowan : >> >> >> >>> Hi there, >> I thought other members of the list may find this eMail message from >> Mac-Access of interest. >> >>> From: Gordon Smith >>> Subject: [Mac-Access]: Apple Provides List Of Upcoming Airplay2-enabled >>> Smart TVs >>> Apple Shares List of AirPlay 2-Enabled Smart TVs From Samsung, LG, Sony, >>> and Vizio >>> >>> A few days ago, Apple announced that AirPlay 2-enabled smart TVs are coming >>> soon from leading manufacturers, and there have subsequently been a series >>> of announcements from Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio at CES 2019 which would >>> seem to give additional credence to Apple’s release. >>> >>> Apple has now shared a list of AirPlay 2–enabled TVs. Hi! Well, for us with no money there are things that has to be prioritized. I guess i could sell something off such as my B&W PX. Or get a job but that’s not as easy here in Sweden. Re: [all-audio] New Microphone from Shure
Worth every penny if the Shore NV88 itself is anything to go buy. One can never have enough microphones about the place so I may get one of these kits myself. The only thing one has to be aware of when recording from the NV88 and I assume the MV88 as well is the low level of these microphones and this may not be a terrible thing particularly if you’re one of those people who like to record loud sounds such as a live band or approaching train. For VoiceOver users and Talkback users be aware that the MV88 may very well route your Screen Reader through the Headphone socket rather than the Built-In Speaker of the phone. > On 12 Jan 2019, at 11:24 pm, Brian Olesen wrote: > > Hi all, > > I just want to let you know that you now can order the new mv88+ package > from Shure. > > It's not just a version 2 of the original mv88, but a whole package of a > stand that can hold your phone and the microphone itself while you're taking > a video, or doing a podcast, and it even has a real minijack plug for > monitoring. > > The microphone is a little big larger then it's predecessor, and there is > included a cable for android devices as well. > > > > It's a bit pricy though. $249. > > > > Best regards > > Brian > > > > -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group. [all-audio] New Microphone from Shure
Hi all, I just want to let you know that you now can order the new mv88+ package from Shure. It's not just a version 2 of the original mv88, but a whole package of a stand that can hold your phone and the microphone itself while you're taking a video, or doing a podcast, and it even has a real minijack plug for monitoring. The microphone is a little big larger then it's predecessor, and there is included a cable for android devices as well. It's a bit pricy though. $249.
