You can't go wrong at that price.
I douct it’s the sort of thing you'd want to go sampling vinyl with but still
it will do the job.

Found one on Amazon for only £6.99 with volume control, two headphone outs, mic
in and two mute buttons. Made by TechRise. Plastic shell but gets good reviews.

The Soundblaster Audio HD is a black box with a volume knob, headphons and
microphone sockets on the front and line-in-out and fono inputs on the back
along with SPDIF in and out.
Supports sampling rates up to 192KHZ 24-bit.
Its just a straight audio stereo device with no surround-sound.

No, not as good as the Asus Professional sound devices but then again what
should one expect for less than $100, its far better than them Realtek things
you'll find on a Mother Board or in a Notebook.
I've never bothered about the control panel - never installed the software that
came with the device -and I seem to do okay.
I won't go into too much regarding this device unless other list members wish

My Realtech sound card just died, one which is integrated with the mother
board. I bought a USB sound card yesterday which is working fine. However, I
wish to replace the Realtech if I have a vacant slot so I can use two sound
cards simultaneously, one for the screen reader and one for everything else.

I am seeking recommendations for a replacement sound card. First and foremost,
the control panel must be accessible. Second, cost is a factor. Third, I don’t
care about surround sound or dolby or anything like that. What I do care about
is clean crisp high frequencies.

With those things in mind, please provide recommendations. Thanks in advance
for feedback.
