[sw-issues] [Issue 20209] make no fill equal to color and 100% transparency
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=20209 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 30 05:03:41 -0700 2005 --- I haven't noticed this issue in 1.1.4 but I have certainly noticed it in 2.0 Beta! It annoyed me so much, I went back to 1.1.4 for the time being! I use a dark GTK+ and Qt color scheme. For me, OO always defaults to showing the page as dark blue instead of white, which I suppose is understandable when you consider people who use dark color schemes for accessibility reasons. I can manually set the page to white so that's okay. In 1.1.4, this is fine but in 2.0 Beta, any frames (both old ones from a 1.1.4 document and newly created ones) have a dark blue background, which obviously looks terrible! I agree they should have 100% transparency, or at the very least, should use the same color as the page itself. Note that in my case, this is purely to do with how the frame is *displayed* on the screen in edit mode. When doing Page Preview, it looks normal. I'm not sure if that was the case for these other people. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The later could be OK, because I did not need to commit anything to writerperfect in my recent CWS. BTW: It could be good if I could write also into some other modules that concern WP importer. Naturally, I am not intending to modify anything that I am not sure about and principally I intend to work on fixing the issues for wp component. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This can be stored internally as a regular number (as I believe dates are) but displayed and entered as an ip address (10.1.1.45) Here is some sample C++ that does the conversions #include iostream #include string using namespace std; int main() { unsigned long number = 0; int tmp = 0, dots = 0; string ip; /* Parse IP Address * Algorithm summary: * * Browse over each character in the input. * Build a number until a dot is encountered or the number goes out of range. * Repeat until end of string * If an invalid character is found, bail out. */ cin ip; for (int i = 0, j = ip.length(); i j; i++) { // cout i : ip[i] endl; if (ip[i] = '0' ip[i] = '9') { tmp = tmp * 10 + (ip[i] - '0'); if (tmp 255) { cout parse error: value out of range\n; return 3; } // cout tmp: tmp endl; continue; } if (ip[i] == '.') { number *= 256; number += tmp; tmp = 0; dots++; // cout number; number endl; continue; } cout parse error on character i \n; return 1; } if (dots != 3) { cout parse error: incorrect format\n; return 2; } number *= 256; number += tmp; tmp = 0; cout number endl; /* Format IP Address * Algorithm summary: * * Extract each portion of the number and display. * * I think there may be a better way to do this by shifting bits then mod 256 */ // cin number; tmp = (number - (number % 16777216)) / 16777216; cout tmp .; number %= 16777216; tmp = (number - (number % 65536)) / 65536; cout tmp .; number %= 65536; tmp = (number - (number % 256)) / 256; cout tmp .; number %= 256; cout number endl; return 0; } I'm not sure if this is closely related enough to this issue or not. I have recently upgraded to m97 and see that it too uses excessive cpu. From the comment above about ntpd, I diabled this daemon then ran m97. The attached strace.m97 shows that soffice.bin is looping on gettimeofday(). I hope that this trace will enable someone to find out why this occurs as compared to m94 which idled at about 3%. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. When importing emf file and ungroup symbol, it seems that OOo use boxes with 90 angle while Visio and other application use rhombus (boxes with not egal angles X/Y). Because Visio is very powerfull in diagrams and because I'm writing a 100 page's document, it's very important for me ;) Thanks David - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 48501] New - impossible to delete unwanted styles if using doc format
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=48501 Issue #:|48501 Summary:|impossible to delete unwanted styles if using doc |format Component:|Word processor Version:|OOo 1.1.4 Platform:|PC URL:| OS/Version:|Windows XP Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|save-export Assigned to:|mru Reported by:|gaborf --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 30 16:17:49 -0700 2005 --- PRELIMINARIES ONLY, BUT IMPORTANT Although I have been using OOo (and formerly SO5.2) for over 3 years I still have to stick to the Windows doc format because I work with a huge number of short documents received from here and there and partly created by myself and I share documents with several others who use MS or QuarkXpress or InDesign, neither of which (or at least the versions in use) understands the OOo formats. THE PROBLEM I try to use my own template as much as I can but my files still get fat with an enormous number of custom styles which probably come from external sources. Among them such beauties like WW-AbsatzStandardSchriftart etc. Often these terrible things intervene into my actually used styles and then ruin is added to chaos. Each and every of them has a name which starts with WW (i.e. 2 capital Ws). Hints of WinWord? I can delete these styles one by one but, unfortunately, loading my own ones does not delete them. However, when I delete the unwanted styles, save the document again in doc format and then I reopen it - the deleted styles reappear again. CONCLUSION Which means that something is still preserved deep in the stomach of OOo and it is reinjected into the file upon save is the saving format is doc. It does not happen if it is rtf or sxw. This holds true of OOo1.1.4 and OOo2 (1.9.95) on a Windows XP Home system. SUGGESTION Please check with the document attached. Open it on a machine with a Windows operating system, delete the WW- and Absatz styles by hand and save the document in its own format (doc). Then reopen it, please, and check what styles you have. Paragraph styles, character styles, numbering styles. Unfortunately there is no option to attach the document. I will try to submit this and reopen perhaps then I see a possibility to attach a doc. If you will not find it (file name: B-0501-BKV-hajozas.doc) please send me a note how to attach. Thanks. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 47173] No report on crash is sent if recovery is cancelled
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=47173 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 30 21:39:06 -0700 2005 --- crashrep.exe keeps crashing on me no matter what I click. When I turn on my computer, sometimes it just pops up and asks if I want to recover some files that I had been recently using. It really does not matter what I click, whether I try ro send a report or cancel, it simply crashes just before it exits. It's a pretty bad crash usually a 'chain reaction crash'. OpenOffice crash reporting crashes, which brings up Windows crash reporting, which then crashes, and the Windows error report for the error report crash crashes too. And the strange thing is that OpenOffice never crashed in the first place, crashrep just pops up when I turn on my computer sometimes, and asks me which files to recover... strange ... very strange Did I post this in the right place or should I start a new issue for this ? I have screenshots of this happening if you want me to post them...? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
