Dosen't matter if they were or weren't mapped (Win versus \\server\path..). Dosen't matter if it even has been NFS share. However, I have activated NFS recently and there have been problems with OPENING the file (Mandriva 2006). I've been able to save only. I played a little with settings of NFSD, and the upgrade to NFS3 really helped. It might have been set to protocol version 2 by default. I don't really understand the stuff generally. It's pitty that we can't find the exact suspect.
