In particular, we were calling images that were not supposed to be there. This happened in 220 and on, until 2.3.1. When reading from TM, the program found texts that match 100% the translatable text, but in which the XML and its properties (such as location of pictures) were different... and we did not detect this at the time... because we did not use gsicheck. Now the translation is complete and correct (240), and this problem has probably gone away. In this field, the absence of bubble charts is a significant and annoying problem. The continuing lack of bubble charts is one of those incomprehensible gaps that sometimes go on unnoticed for years. When I heard a revamping was in order for the charting module in 2.3, I wholly believed bubble charting would be included. And I must agree that many of the implemented improvements, while appreciable, were far less indispensable than a good, flexible bubble chart option. Almost everyday I have to answer - with difficulty and embarassment - some students that ask about this problem. Maybe it could be solved with an extension? I'm on an nvidia chipset with the original "certified" Microsoft driver. With OOo 2.3.1, when loading a presentation containing a video, nothing bad happens. I activated the Windows Vista theme, and it stayed as expected; additionally, the video plays just fine all the time.
