The fonts render properly and the file can be saved as normal until I reach the end of a line. Upon reaching the end of a line, the program freezes and I have to resort to a force quit. Similar problems arise with Calc (though I can't figure out exactly when the freezing is triggered in Calc). The freezing also occurs when editing Khmer Unicode documents that were written with openoffice 2.1 and 2.2. I have typed in Khmer Unicode in Open Office 2.1 and 2.2 (using linux and windows) in the past with no problems. There are no problems whatsoever when I type in English. There are no problems whatsoever when I type Khmer Unicode in my non-openoffice text editor using the same computer (Toshiba M45, Pentium M Processor 740, 1.73 GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz FSB with 512MB DDR2 SDRAM) with the same OS (Ubuntu 7.10). I have heard, but not personally tested, that the same problem occurs with OOo2.3 running on Windows XP.
