We had to convert Rachana Malayalam OpenType Font to a TrueType font just for
being able to use in OpenOffice (It works in every other application). I have
also voted for this fix.

will take a while

Perhaps it is a duplicate of 81970. I can not replicate the problem when I use
number of other fonts for the single and double quotes. I can only replicate it
when I specify Times (which I no longer see as a selectable font)

I have a spreadsheet (.xls) that is issued by an official bureau that can be
opened in OO 2.3, and can be saved to an .ods format. However, when I open the
.ods later, it crashes OO.

When I try to open the same document in OO 1.1.4 it crashes immediately.

I can send you the spreadsheet involved. Please contact me on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Enhancement for Hunspell :

Improve the regular expression-like possibilities of conditional field of
affixes to identify the beginning of a word.

Of course, this recognition should be done with a circumflex (^) at the
beginning of a pattern.

In french, verbs which are roots of other verbs often have few different
conjugations than their derivative forms.

Example:
Verbs: mouvoir, émouvoir, promouvoir

SFX x2 N 51
SFX x2   ouvoir û   ^mouvoir here
SFX x2   ouvoir u   .mouvoir
[all other rules are the same for the three verbs]

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I use a file, that I once created in an older version of Open Office, and
already saved it as an .ods file in the new version.
When I want to print the file, the following problem occurs:
It is possible to print the content of the file completely, but it is NOT
possible to chose just one page for printing in the menu. This problem only
occurs with files from old versions of Open Office.

Yours sincerely,
Walter Osiander

In OO Writer: Navigator not saving state between sessions

I am working on a 1000 page document, with MANY sections and subsections.
Clicking on the plus signs beside topics in navigator (outline level=10) opens
the subsections. So painfully clicking 50 plus signs givens me a scrollable
outline.

BUT if I then close and reopen OO writer, the navigator subsections are once
again folded, regardless of outline level. Clicking more than 50 plus signs so
I can navigate is... very painful :-

Thanks for any help or assistance you can render.
Cheers,
Alice

The following macro does not work properly:

Sub Main

  dim oDoc as object
  dim oForm as object
  dim oDate as object
  dim sDate as string
  dim iDate as integer
  oDoc = ThisComponent
  oForm = oDoc.DrawPage.Forms.GetByIndex(0)
  oDate = oForm.getByName(datdate)
  sDate = 20.12.1950
  iDate = DateSerial(mid(sDate,7),mid(sDate,4,2),left(sDate,2))
  oDate.BoundField.Value = iDate

End Sub
*
datdate is a date field in a form based on a table with the field date. The
macro sets the field datdate to the value 22.12.1950 instead of
20.12.1950. If I change the last line to
oDate.BoundField.Value = iDate - 2
then the field is set to the right value.
I would like to attach an example database, but I don't know how.

Recently upgraded to OOo 2.3 and now have Open Office freeze when I type in
Khmer Unicode using Writer or Impress.

The fonts render properly and the file can be saved as normal until I reach the
end of a line. Upon reaching the end of a line, the program freezes and I have
to resort to a force quit. Similar problems arise with Calc (though I can't
figure out exactly when the freezing is triggered in Calc). The freezing also
occurs when editing Khmer Unicode documents that were written with openoffice
2.1 and 2.2.

I have typed in Khmer Unicode in Open Office 2.1 and 2.2 (using linux and
windows) in the past with no problems.

There are no problems whatsoever when I type in English.

There are no problems whatsoever when I type Khmer Unicode in my non-openoffice
text editor using the same computer (Toshiba M45, Pentium M Processor 740, 1.73
GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz FSB with 512MB DDR2 SDRAM) with the same OS (Ubuntu 7.10).

I have heard, but not personally tested, that the same problem occurs with
OOo2.3 running on Windows XP.

In About Openoffice.org I have the following:
OpenOffice.org 2.3.0
Copyright 2000-2007 Sun Microsystems Inc.
This product has been created by Debian and Ubuntu based on OpenOffice.org.
OpenOffice.org acknowledges all community members, especially those mentioned at

Yes, the defected existed in 2.3. It is most probably a localization issue. The
localization has been corrected, and will be tested in m241, but 2.3 Khmer is
unusable.

This is probably a duplicate of issue 80249.
