Also if I may add Items 2.1, 2.2.1 and 2.3 are completely unacceptable! In this section it is clearly being stated that a properly bulleted and laid out document sent to a user of an early version of OOo will not render that bulleting correctly as all of the settings will be returned to "0." That's worse than anything MS Word has ever done in my experience! I get a "General input/output error while accessing " error message
when I try to save to a webdav share mounted in MacOSX 10.5.5. When using "Save
as" a new, empty file is created on the mount -> it isn't a permission problem.
When I try to save an RTF with TextEdit or copying a photo to the mount it all
works fine. My conclusion is that it's the OO webdav(?) functionality which is a
bit shaky.
The webdav share is an Apache 2.2.9/Subversion 1..4 mod_dav_svn using
Autoversioning on share using Basic Authentication.
At one point it worked saving an ODS file on the share, although after
umount/mount it doesn't anymore. However, I tried to copy a .xls file using the
terminal to a temporary file on the same share and edited the file using 'vi'
without any problems.

(The first ones I tried were %phi to φ these didn't work so I tested aar to argh and this didn't work either. The included ones did however) Here is what I did: 1. I have input the replace and with fields, pressed new. 2. I checked these appeared in the table below. 3. I clicked on OK typed the replace characters and this didn't work 4. It works with the included list that OpenOffice came with but not any custom ones I add. Initially the program informed me an autocorrect change had been made (even though it wasn't) however this pop-up has stopped happening. Any help or suggestion of possible conflicts would be great as I assume this is not a bug or a lot more people would be screaming. When the client starts then it creates the cli-uno bridge in its process, which bootstraps UNO using the libraries from the office installation. Bootstrapping UNO includes setting up the service manager, which causes all services rdb files, such as common.rdb, to be opened. The file will then remain opened as long as the client runs. When the client restarts OOo then OOo cannot overwrite the common.rdb, which is still opened by the client. This problem has become visible, because OOo is now bundled with a couple of extensions. Opening a calc document will now lead to a call into the service manager. The bug does only affect the cli-uno bridge, AFAIK. The work around is to use the quickstarter of OOo. Possible fixes are: 1. Allow adding / removing services of the loaded rdb files 2. Invent another mechanism of how the extension services are registered 3. Write a real cli-uno remote bridge. The current bridge is actually an inprocess bridge, which was intended for using cli-uno components. All three solutions are time consuming and to risky for 3.1.
