Some extra information:
The code I posted doesn't actually give an UnknownPropertyException, it gives
an
IllegalArgumentException. Sorry about that. I think this implies that the
second
argument (the Any object) is what's causing the problem. I've tried some
variations:
new Any(WritingMode.TB_RL)
new Any(2)
new Any((float)2)
new Any(typeof(float), 2)
new Any(typeof(float), (float)2)
They all give the IllegalArgumentException.
Just doing ((XPropertySet)cell).setPropertyValue("WritingMode", 2); won't
compile, you have to pass an Any object.

Enter the number "1" in cell A3. At this point Cell A1 only displays "0.01" and cell A2 only displays "0". The cells should display all of the decimal places entered. 5. Now all numbers show 4 decimal places including A3. This has worked for Windows Vista, Windows 2000, Ubuntu and Xubuntu (8.10,9.04 and 9.10); but with Windows 7, when I double click this document the program appears to start, placing the openoffice icon on the new Windows 7 taskbar, but I cannot use the program until I hover over that icon, when the openoffice screen finally appears. Originally the target milestone was 3.2, but missed the code freeze. Now it is 3.3. I don't see any dependencies and can't tell how to track whether it is being worked on or not. The current dev builds for 3.3 crash when trying to export .doc so it looks as though something is being done regarding export formats, but there is no description of what. The issues listed with the dev release notes don't include this issue (103545) and I can't tell which issues to follow as the dev process goes forward. Iss 97267 isn't referenced either so I don't know what workspace is supposed to address "exporting custom fields" that may or may not have caused my problem. I have leaned on the Blackberry folks hoping for a change in their viewer, but they have officially decided it is an openoffice problem. And the file specs appear to be a moving target. I have moved my entire group (500) to openoffice and some of our sr admins are significant emergency responders who rely on Blackberries to view department documents in the field and after hours. Right now they cannot view program attachments sent by their subordinate staff and I get asked daily when this will be resolved. I can have a bunch of people join so they can vote on this issue, but that's like stuffing the ballot box. Do you know if 97267 and 103545 are related?
