I quite agree with your observation on Bug1; I meant it's a bug in the sense of
what would be a more intuitive behavior.

In bug 2, I was trying to illustrate the point that the user is getting wrong
info regarding the fontname; the text rendering being one font and the combo
shows another. (Perhaps my reporting was not lucid enough.). Place the cursor at
the end of line consisting empty boxes (line 4). The combo shows the name as
Tahoma, while the redering is actually from Arial Unicode MS.
I hope I am clearer now.

Did some more experimentation today by loading the attached odg file into OO,
setting autosave to 2 minutes and leaving it alone apart from making trivial
modifications to the drawing every now and then.

I had 2 more crashes over the course of ~3 hours (same stacktrace as before)
while the file was loaded from a Samba share.

Switched to loading the same file from local disk. Have had no crashes in about
4 hours.

After installation of version 3.1.1 french
(OOo_3.1.1_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_fr.exe) on a windows 7 PC, some features of
windows 7 are affected, namely but maybe not limited to:
the calendar gadget does not work properly
windows mediaplayer no longer shows video
This occurs only after a restart, not just after install. The OOo writer and
Calc work fine as far as I used them.

Restoring the system to before install OOo repairs the windows7 functions but
kills the OOo install

my computer is an Acer Ferrari One 200 with AMD Athlon X2 dual Core Processor
L310 1.2 GHz with 2 Gbytes of RAM
Windows 7 Edition Familiale Premium; Operating system 64 bits

I just got a new IBM PC with Windows XP. When I installed OOo onto it, I found 
that the backspace, arrow keys, and keyboard shortcuts do not work at all.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, same problems. I cannot 
find where to fix those kinds of problems either.

Their are a LOT of options in the each of the toolbar (View | Toolbars) and it
is a bit of a mess.  These options could be regrouped in better ways.  That
would reduce the amount of initial options.  Examples might be

The one main Text toolbar would include Text Object, Standard, and Standard
(Viewing Mode) toolbars

The one main Form toolbar would include Form Controls, Form Design, and Form
Navigation toolbars

The one main Draw toolbar would include Draw and Draw Object Properties toolbars

The one main Media toolbar would include Media Playback, and Picture toolbars

You know, once you have this, then all the main toolbars would fit on the screen
across the top.

Currently, the balloon help (whether OO.o/StarOffice is configured for only tips
or extended tips) gets in the way of my project.  I can't see through the
balloon text.

Make an information bar at the bottom of the screen where the tips will be sent
instead of right next to the mouse where I particularly want to be looking at. 
I don't think the concern is valid that the user's eyes will need to travel too
far across the screen to read the help tips.

The information bar will probably need to extend across the entire window to
allow maximum space to provide useful feedback to the user--otherwise it really
would not be useful.

This information bar could also be where you show additional future information
other than simply the help tips.  An example might be "right-click object to
show properties, double left-click object to type text."  You would use this
information bar to provide useful feedback.

I notice exactly the same thing as what was mentioned by the4thchild, but on
Debian Testing, with openoffice 3.1.1 (310m19) : the slide pane blinks all the
time and is synchronous with the text cursor if a text box is being edited. Is
there any use of such a strange activity ? 

I would like to add that when I edit my presentation (50 slides with OLE objects
from oodraw, mathematical formulas, linked images), the processor eats on
average 50% of my CPU even if I don't touch the computer !

A custom color cannot be adjusted once a document is moved to another computer.

How to recreate:
1. Create a shape
2. Go to Format:Area menu item, and colors tab.
3. create a custom color (not black), and save it, and then save the document.
4. Transfer document to another computer (or delete the custom color), re-open, 
5. Repeat step 2.
It's not possible to select the custome color from the menu, or even modify it,
(the current custom color will shop up as black in this window), clicking ok
will change the object's color to black.

I have a xls file that contains reference to other xls in BUSCARV() formula, in 
OOo 3.0.0 seemed fine but in the 3.1.0 the range at the end of the formula was 
removed: XXX.xls#$Sheet1.A1:D35 became XXX.xls#

This also threw error 513, eaven when I correct it by hand.

BTW: after looking at the 1879 duplicate crash reports, a lot concentrate on
"Crash after closing document" in OOo 3.1.0. Might be fixed in current 3.1.1 or 
3.2.

Now if you'd like to help fixing this bug and if you can reproduce it, then we'd
need an exact description on how to reproduce it.
Also tell us which OOo version you were using.


@all others: crash report id rmwwf2c has the same stack as other crash reports
all together grouped into an internal bug tracker ID 124610.
Thus we could consider this issue as duplicate from other crash reports.

The problem is that all other reports describe very different situations.
Thus we cannot reproduce it and probably not fix it.
