The C++ Standard doesn't specify dependencies between library headers. Therefore
any code that uses a library function _must_ include the appropriate header.

I'm running Open Office 3.1 in headless mode on a Fedora 11 system. I noticed 
that PNG images with a color depth of 2-bit or 4-bit and color type 3 
(paletted) print in grayscale instead of color when selecting the 'print to 
file' option. To be more specific: I have a Java application that connects to 
a listening instance of OO and issues a 'print to file' request to OO for 
a .doc file that has embedded 2-bit and 4-bit paletted PNG images. The 2-bit 
and 4-bit images are outputted as grayscale images in the .ps file.

I have narrowed down the problem a little. In 
psprint/source/printergfx/bitmap_gfx.cxx, the function DrawBitmap() calls 
GetDepth() and for returned depth values of 2 and 4 it calls DrawPS2GrayImage
() which I'm guessing results in the PNG being outputted in grayscale.

I'm not sure if the problem lies in the GetDepth() function or in DrawBitmap() 
itself. Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

I copy by:
1. Open a window where I can see the data in the database. This can be a query
result window, a form, or a table window.
2. Select with the mouse what I want to copy.
3. Either right-click and choose "copy" or use "copy" under the edit menu.

The three "languages" de-de, de-at and de-ch have gone in one extension which is
also named de-de by this integration.

I refer to a posting of the extension-maintainer Karl Zeiler to the german
dev-Mailinglist today where he remarks that this will foreclose a correct update
of the extension. If you update this "special" de-de, the de-at and de-ch
dictionaries will get lost and must be reinstalled from the repository.

Hi, at http://Eseri.com/ we have integrated a full FOSS organization in a box to
help FOSS compete with Microsoft across the board.  We have not encountered any
need for the Pyramid chart feature.  However our experience is that the lack of
an Organization Chart capability in Impress, and compatibility with the
PowerPoint version of this feature, to be the number one issue holding back
wide-spread customer embrace of OpenOffice.  More info:

While Writer and Calc compatibility with MS Office is now very good, greatly
moving it forward as a suite that can interoperate without risk, Impress
compatibility with Powerpoint is much less solid.  Business users of MS Office
use PowerPoint a lot, and often create organization charts with its builtin
tool, found under Insert / Picture / Organization Chart.

These organization charts do not come across to Impress - the lines get
reformatted all over the place - and they cannot be edited and sent back to an
MS Office user.  (I'd be glad to provide example files, and/or provide any other
examples requested on Impress / PPT compatibility in general.)

The reasons the Powerpoint Org Chart tool is so useful is mainly two-fold:

   1. The automated layout capability is an order of magnitude more convenient
than manually creating and then editing a chart in any drawing package.  You can
select a branch, and automatically change with one click the layout of the whole
branch or entire chart to right-side, left-side, or standard layout.  All
alignment is automatically taken care of.  Very useful.

   2. You can also select a branch and drag it in entirety to another node of
the org chart, and the entire branch moves with all alignment against the rest
of the chart, and the rest of the chart moved around to make room, again
automatically so everything is equally spaced and aligned.

I don't downplay the effort to replicate this or make it work seamlessly with a
PowerPoint org chart that has been imported.  Our input is simply that both of
these - replication and compatibility - are very significant issues, and
addressing them would go a very, very long way to enabling the majority of users
to move from MS Office to OpenOffice without any barrier, trouble, or risk on
the presentation software side.  Embrace and replace!

We request that the urgency of this issue be raised and addressed as a priority
issue.

Attempting to import image from scanner causes program to crash.  "Microsoft
Searching for solution window" is only visible result.  Restart of Write
component brings the recovery window {for an untitled document in my case}.

Congratulations, this very useful feature is really neccessary!

But I've done a simple test and I'm still missing some characters. Copy text out
of the PDF is correct, and space for missing characters is calculated correct,
but maybee some glyhpes aren't exportet in PDF.

I will attach an example.

In a cell formatted as 'text' formulas will not calculate, but be shown as
text.That's nothing special with "CONCATENAR".

Pls. feel free to reopen the issue if you find out that your problem differs

(3.1.1 or later).

Just a slight different check - instead of selecting MySQL->ODBC for the data
source I tried the other way ODBC->MySQL and the Base (OO.o) UI acts slightly
different.

With MySQL->ODBC the table items are listed with icons, so the user can see that
some number of tables exists, just can't see the names.

Using ODBC->MySQL the table section of the Base window (or any wizards that
display table objects) is completely blank. No icons with empty names, so the
user doesn't even see that there are any tables there at all.

Trying Ubuntu 9.10 (644bit) here:

ODBC connection is broken here also, as described in the issue. No table names
in any GUI view.

I can not reproduce any of the problems with the Native Connector and sockets,
seems to work for me. (but that isn't this issue, right)

issue is that the NOTE role does not exist in ATK.  What you may need to do is
keep the AT-SPI role as it was and then define an 'xml-roles' attribute that has
a value of 'note' and store this in the accessible object's 'attributes'
property.  The way this would be exposed to the assistive technology is via the
'attributes' property on the accessible object.

Note that the 'attributes' property on the accessible object is a whole
different space than the 'attributes' property associated with the accessible
text for the object.  That it, there are two 'attributes' like things in the API
- one is for general attributes on the whole object (which is where we want to
put the 'xml-roles' attribute) and the other is for text attributes.

The function "show control characters" has some deficiencies.

1) Blanks at the end of a line are not visible. So I cannot see whether there 
is one ore several blanks; when correcting texts, this is annoying.

2) The line feed representation shows as well a new line, an end of paragraph 
and a new page. The latter is also shown with a black line on the new page on 
top of the grey border line. This is almost not visible as its style or colour 
cannot be altered. (The best and easiest solution would probably be, to 
diversify the sign for "New line").

Is it? The issue here is that the second argument in ROUND, ROUNDUP and 
ROUNDDOWN does
differ in Excel vs OO.org/KSpread.

In excel something like ROUNDUP(1.2345,3) will result in "1.235" while in Calc 
and KSpread
everything >=2 is always "1.23".

So, to earn the same result the like excel if the second argument is n then the 
number of decimal
places needs to be n.

I guess the real problem here is to keep backward compatibility...

Using rpm --freshen can't work because the names of the rpms have changed

Use the attached document with writer (yes it seems to be blank. But in fact it
is downstripped from a template heavily used by us)

insert a picture (png) with insert/picture/from file ... and the picture will
not be shown. Now save the file and reopen. The picture is now in the upper left
corner of the first page and it is quite small. 

I would expect the image to be shown instantly and of larger size.

I tried to add my own list style with a simple bullet an text that starts
exactly 0.1cm behind the bullet. So i added a list style and configured in tab
'position' that the bullet should be followd by a tab stop at 0.2cm. The bullet
itself is aligned at 0cm and the indent is set to 0cm too.

When using my style the text is placed at 1.27cm. While playing around i've
found out that if you want to set the space between the bullet and the text to
0.2 you have to add the 0.2cm + 0.4cm (the guessed size of the bullet •) + 0cm
(the value for aligned at).

I think it would be more easy if i could set the space between the bullet and
the text.

I recently upgraded from SeaMonkey 1.1.19 to 2.0. The profile directory naming
convention has changed and Oo can no longer find the addressbook data source.

I can confirm that the native connector does work if you ignore the error
message and continue. However, I would expect users to give up if 'Test
Connection' returns an error...
