yes, but in fact the benefit is realy small. Who want make Poster with a size
over 300 cm with a Office? For me thats a missusing from a software. Yes, you
can use OOo also to create your Website. But thet's a realy bad solution. We
have to ask, how many OOo users benefit from a feature. We have realy realy
limited ressource at the project, and so we moast set prioritys. And this issue
is vor me realy lowest preority because the number of users who benefit from
this issue is too small

A document size like this one might make sense for Draw. Maybe we already have
an issue about that for Draw.

Basically it wouldn't be bad to extend the document size, but it's not easy to
achieve because the current maximum size surely is caused by some internal
limits. Overcoming them is not easy to achieve (as e.g. the removal of the 32000
rows limit in Calc showed). But if we changed that in Draw this would work for
all applications, so as long as any of our applications could benefit from that
this request is not completely irrelevant.

So all depends on the necessary effort.

Hi Raphael,

I really think that we should let people decide, and if they like to use our 
product for these things, they should be able to use our software.

It might be a good idea to market OOo as an office suite, but I don't think 
that we should have technical limitations that make it easier for customers to 
select compeditive products.

Please still concider my vote for extending this limitation alitt.e

This just breaks in ucb/source/ucp/gio/gio_datasupplier.cxx a while later, where
the gio::Content::getPropertyValuesFromGFileInfo is called. But I don't see any
reasonable way to get the right gio::Content at that place, so I have removed
the direct call and have used API instead.

How to reproduce this problem
1.Star OpenOffice.org Draw(It might be about 19cm width in measure toolbar.)
2.Select Tools->Options and Select Draw->General in the Option dialog.
3.Change the Drawing scale 1:1 to 1:10 and click OK

The width in measure toolbar have to be about 190cm
(If you zoom up or down the page, It will be fix the measure.)
But it does not change the width(still about 19cm).

As a test, I tried to open old document(.docx) with OOO 3.2. This crashed the
writer. Then when I tried to send error report about this crush, after
recovering the document, writer crashed again. The document can be opened in OOO
3.1.1. stable version.

NOT reproducible with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN XP DE[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"and all
Presentations I created.
Information concerning real OOo version and localization, document type, 
contents and name, save path, general problem or for particular documents and
many others missing. This is not a valid bug report.
We have several other "save as .ppt" issues, this one might be a DUP, but with
the rare information I can't decide.

I was working on a powerpoint for my school. I went to go save the powerpoint by
clicking 'File', then 'Save As...'.  The save window came up, then froze. I
can't access any of the buttons inside the save window, and Open Office freezes.
 The only way i can get O.O. to work again is to close and restart the program.

In testing a JDBC connection using Christian Werner's SQLite JDBC driver

http://www.ch-werner.de/javasqlite/

no data can be retrieved.  The driver class tests OK, as does the connection.  
But when opening the database, user gets a popup error: "not supported".

This database and this driver worked fine in OOo 3.1.1 (although it would be 
nice to support named properties of this or other specific JDBC drivers).

Couldn't a macro get between the post and the first error dialog and suppress
it? Then handle a fixup of the daraform so the user can just keep working..If so
we could attach the workaround macro to the original posting at the user forum.

Hi. I upgraded OOo in a machine in my work, and it stopped opening M$O files
from Explorer. Windows would always ask for the program.
I found out that computer had two previous versions installed, so I decided to
start over from scratch: uninstalled every version, deleted all remaining files,
cleaned up with CCleaner and rebooted the machine. Then I reinstalled OOo. No
improvement.
I tried repairing the suite, but nothing helped either.
I noticed the installer doesn't ask about file association for MSO files as it
did before.
I also saw many issues related to beta or dev releases, but this is a stable
version.

If have formatted text cells in your spreadsheet, and try to change them using 
Search & Replace dialog box, the formatting will be destroyed.

Steps to reproduce (use the example file):

1. Open the Search and Replace dialog.
2. Type '  ' (two spaces) in the search box, and ' ' (single space) in the 
replace box.
3. Click Find, click Replace. The whole cell contents will be italic, even 
though  two spaces were not marked up as italic at all!

It's not related to issue 21629, as Ctrl+Z does not restore the formatting at 
all. It's gone irreversibly, that's why P3 and not P4.

Ok, now I see how it happens. The indent is increased because 10 is larger than
9 and so "breaks" the "tab limit". This behavior is confusing and distrurbing.
Shouldn't it work in some other way? Sure you can switch to spaces instead of
tabs but thats only a workaround...

I'm using numbering and placing a symbol (§) before the number. All is well
until I reach the 10th "paragraph"/point/number when the indent suddenly decides
to jump. I cannot remove the indent except by removing the symbol before (but I
want it there!). Adding additional symbols will trigger additional interesting
behavior. The screen shot should somewhat speak for itself...

properly). That issue was fixed in dev300m66.
I can reproduce the described problem in dev300m65 but in dev300m67 it has

I have built an invoice template with a table for the body that is allowed to 
run over two pages. The 
document has a last page which contains a section-break so that I can switch 
from a single column to 
a two-column layout.

When using the document and the table does not run over to page 2, it works 
fine.

When using the document and the table runs longer, and into page 2, the 
following things happen;

1. When attempting to print the document, only the first 2 pages would show in 
the preview window
2. The document would then crash.
3. On recovery, the document formatting is largely correct, but the footer on 
page 2 has been messed 
up (font changes etc)

the cause seems to be an invalid shell/document that is still used in view
options. I added a check for that when reformatting is necessary; please find
the changeset here

The check itself is not 100% reliable regarding object identity since it
identifies a shell by its address (which means the object could have been
destroyed and a new one could have taken its memory), however it will suffice to
avoid crashes. Unfortunately the shell does not seem to have a "==" operator.

With Ooo 3.2 RC4  on Mac I cannot print DL envelopes. Papersize in writer is DL
Envelope. But the print dialog always shows an A4 or letter page. Tested with
postscript and non-postscript Epson printer driver.

I had to downgrade to Ooo 3.1. No problems here.

The algorithm implemented is straight forward:
If the categories do span multiple rows and multiple columns, the direction of
the first data series is detected. If the data for the first series comes from
rows, the categories are split into multiple rows. Otherwise the categories are
split into multiple columns. The split categories are then applied as different
hierarchical levels at the x-axis.
This algorithm does not produce exactly the same results for all the border
cases shown in the attached example document chart_sourcedata_category_ But
at this state I assume that it is not worth the effort to make the algorithm
extreme complex for those exotic scenarios. Future may tell more.
I'll attach an example document showing more typical everyday examples
'HierarchicalAxesLabel.xls'.

Updated summary

Checked with OOO320_RC5, XP

To reproduce:
Download the attached database 
Open form Task
Enter data in all control
Try to save the data

On that post of the data
- the data is written correctly to the table
- the dataform displays an error dialog to the user saying that the data was not
written
- the data entered in the forms controls is still displayed
- the form navigation controls all show that the form needs to be saved
-- there is a clue here as the navigator shows 2 records which should never
happen with this type of form.
- if the user believes what the application just told them and tries to post the
data again
-- a different, more onerous, error dialog is displayed ( cause now there really
is an error state in the dataform control )

At this point if the user hits the REFRESH button on the navigator, or tries to
close the form
- A warning dialog informing them that there is unsaved data
-- there only choice is to tell the application to throw away the new data
--- of course the data is in that table...they just don't know it
