problems from many people who edited their formula-documents with a Linux OOo
build provided by the Linux-distributor.

When "Use antialiasing" (below "Use hardware acceleration") is turned on,
1- dragging items (text boxes, images, etc.) in oooimpress is slightly slower
2- more importantly, dragging slides is *insanely* slower. Not just slightly, 
but very noticeably so. It is almost impossible to drag slides (either in the 
"slide sorter" or in the slide sidebar in normal view) because you have to wait 
for the CPU to start responding again. Users shouldn't be expected to require a 
core2quad to use the slide sorter with default options, especially since 
dragging slides doesn't actually drag a thumbnail of the slide, but just an 
outline.

Turning off this option makes everything responsive again. Now, while #1 is 
kind-of expected because the items in the slide get antialiased, #2 is 
unacceptable. This is not a matter of "well just turn the option off": 
antialiasing should not ever affect the slide sorter or the sidebar (as I said, 
it doesn't even drag the thumbnail, just the outline). This is a usability 
issue 
as well as a performance issue, in the sense that unresponsive UIs make users 
frustrated, and it contributes to the perceived bloat in OOo.

I also spent several hours with this issue. 

Why was this marked as invalid? 

The "Number formatting" under tables is not a logical place to look for anyone
having this issue with writer. Even if it's not a bug, it is unquestionably a
poor design choice. I agree with others that when a feature is so aggressive as
to get in the way of normal use (and this one absolutely does), it should be
disabled by default.

Also, with calc values which aren't even supposed to be dates get magically
changed into dates. This may be appropriate if the cell is marked as "Date", but
otherwise calc would do better to leave it alone.

When setting op a calc database function DSUM, it returns zero where the search
criteria holds a date range, referenced from another cell. An example ods file
is attached. I tested it for 3 different configurations (Ubuntu 9.04/OOO300m15,
Win XP/OOO320m12 and Ubuntu 10.04b2/OOO320m12). The latter was the only one
suffering from the behaviour described above.
Is this related to issue's 65221, 102750, 109200 ?

Hi,

I've checked linux x86 postgresql 8.4.3 as server and OOo3.2 win32 client and 
can't reproduce the problem. Can you (or someone else) do a testbuild with the 
32bit postgresql server of the same version and check, whether this problem 
occurs there as well ? If it does, it is indeed a 64bit server problem, 
actually I currently don't have a 64bit linux box, so this will be difficult 
for me to track down the problem.

I am using Open office products at home and in my workplace for a long time now
and this is first time I post an issue. At work I have operating system windows
XP 32bit, home - ubuntu Linux 9.04 64bit. On both systems I have installed
openoffice 3.2. I have started my current text document at home and inserted a
lot of formulas (insert - object - formula), then I took this text document to
my job and added few pages, when I opened it once again at home, in places where
should be formulas now is only - object 1, object 2 and so one. Strangest thing
is that, when I opened it on windows again, everything is still lost. I think,
when I closed document on Linux, it saved some changes and that's it.  I tried
to look up similar issue, but couldn't find. Maybe you could help me with an
advice. (Everything was saved in .odt file format on bouth systems).

It was no problem for me to define + for non-breaking space with

I did some further tests with 3.1.1 and 3.3 Dev and found out:
Grabbing will work if you open a second new window for sheet "AnnuityFactors".
Steps to reproduce:
0. Open sample document 
1. Menu 'Window -> New Window'
2. Change to old window (+)
3. Click 'D17'
4. Press Key "="
   "=" appears
5. change to other document window for sheet "AnnuityFactors"
6. click 'E14'
7.  
  Formula "=AnnuityFactors.E14" will be taken to sheet 'Budget 1001 - D17'
  and result "0.01"will be shown.

If you change back to other document window between step 6 and step 7 for a look
you will see formula in 'E14'

No Idea why this works in this way and what the reason for the problem might be
(I can't reproduce the problem with own doucuments), but I believe it is a bug.
