The Myanmar attachments above show that line breaking occurs mid-syllable when
there are no spaces on a line. The first paragraph has Myanmar punctuation, so
presumably ICU prefers to break after those code points, which results in
reasonable rendering. In practice, Myanmar typists do normally type some spaces,
but it can be problematic in narrow columns.

I can see 2 possible ways to resolve the regression for Burmese with Padauk. 
1) implement a proper dictionary based line breaker for OOo
2) adjust break weight used in GetTextBreak according to whether
SAL_LAYOUT_COMPLEX_DISABLED is set

2) does not necessarily exclude 1), but it is dependent on there being no
complex scripts for which hyphenation is used.
1) is the best long term solution anyway, but would also need to be implemented
for Shan, Mon, Karen and probably several others.

NB: Although the Padauk font uses the klbHyphenBreak, no hyphen should be 
rendered.

In fact yes I can add manually any record.

I just forget to say I am using a pre-defined "formulaire" in OOo Base this one
was written in 2.4 and was working fine in 3.0, in 3.1, and does not work on 3.2
without modifications, and in any OS as I use it in Windows XP and Vista, Ubuntu
Lucid x86 and Ubuntu Lucid AMD_64.

The latest patch attached to issue 111054, attachment 69248, should render the
fiLigHyph document correctly. I got round the potential problem with the
ligature spanning the hyphenation point by disabling extra context being used to
create the segment when SAL_LAYOUT_COMPLEX_DISABLED is set and adjusting the
caching to not return a segment with a cluster spanning the requested 
mnEndCharPos.

Seemingly randomly, but *every* time I run it, OO.o gets into a "Not Responding"
freeze and I have to "Force Quit" the application.  It usually happens within a
few minutes of start, and it doesn't seem to ever recover.

While this is going on, it is consuming just over 50% of CPU time (according to
"Activity Monitor"; I don't know if that's 50% of one core or 50% of total CPU
time), and kernel_task is consuming just under 50%.  Running dtruss against the
process shows very few system calls being made.  Occasionally, OO.o will catch
the hang and crash instead of hanging, with the crash notification dialog.

When it's hanging/frozen, I can move windows around, and the application does
redraw itself (no blank squares after other windows hide it), but I cannot
interact at all, and I get the spinning beachball of death.

Usually, this is triggered by me trying to perform a task, but it's no
particular task, as I can usually finish my edits when I reopen the program. 
Sometimes it'll only happen once; sometimes it happens many times in a row. 
Examples include selecting a new sheet in Calc and opening the background fill
toolbox in Calc and Writer.  Occasionally, though, it will do it while I'm not
interacting with it at all.

I'll attach dtruss and "Sample" output.

Created a new database/schema/user

then created a table in the pgAdmin as:

Why the hell has this ticked been closed? It is really annoying and frustrating
having the context menu split apart on two screens. If screens aren't next to
each other the menu is practically not usable. At least a switch in the opts

Hi all,

I find an issue that the calendar of date field does not pop up properly in 
writer when I use the Arab version OpenOffice.org.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a date field control in writer.
2. Set the dropdown property of the date field as true.
3. Switch the design model to off. 
4. Click on the arrow mark in date field.

Expected result:
Date field pop up comes up and user is able to select date or navigate and 
select different month or year.

Actual result:
When the arrow is pressed, date field briefly appears and disappears 
immediately.
When you continue to press on the arrow then pop up appears but it is 
difficult to select or navigate to different month as you have to move the 
mouse from arrow. Once you move mouse away from arrow, then pop up disappears.

The version I used OpenOffice.org is 3.2 and with Arab language package.

Iam a user of OO but not a programmer.  I am running Windows 7 Version 6.1 
Build 7600.  Until the latest upgrade of OO, I was having no problems.  After 
installing the latest upgrade, I could not reboot the computer.  The screen 
stopped at the pulsing Windows logo and would go no further.  I was able to 
reboot using the last succesful configuration feature, and I can run OO, but I 
get error messages when booting up OO.  I have gone through the upgrade 
procedure twice with the same result.

When a user loads an image in an image field within a database file, the
database odb file size increases much more than the same image file size. (For
example. A jpg image file of 80k can increase the odb file size up to 500k).

installation of OOo changes your system settings on this point.

When I save the file (Test case) as a native .odt document, it saves the
formulas (child=1 & A1=1). But when I convert the document to microsoft word
(XP, etc) it fails to save these formulas, and they revert to child+1 and A1+1

After installing Open Office 3.2 from your website, http://www.openoffice.org/, 
by clicking on this link:

tall-wJRE_en-US.exe, on both my laptops, I noticed that both laptops started 
double-clicking intermittently when I intended to only single-click, when using 
other programs, such as Internet Explorer and Solitaire.  After I uninstalled 
Open Office on both computers, the double-clicking stopped.

I use a variety of variables as counters.  I am able to have the counters work
(ie Child+1), but when I set an initial value (ie Child=1000) it fails to save. 

As long as I keep the page open, the initial value works, but when I try to save
it (to either odf format or word (doc) format) and close the document, upon
opening the variable goes back to Child+1, rather than Child=1000

When in the file maintenance area (i.e., from Writer, Open-File), if one selects
a file to CUT (Control-X), OO.org crashes.

I use this feature periodically to move files from one folder to another (cut,
paste). The 3.2 release crashes when attempted.

I have not tested to see if the other components of 3.2 crash under similar
circumstances, but I would assume they do.

I previously created Impress files and saved them as .ppt with no problem.  
Last working file was one I saved on April 22.  Now, .ppt files will open with 
Impress but not with Powerpoint viewer.  I tried reinstalling the 2007 PPV; no 
change.  Reinstalled OO3.2; no change.

- Forcing to use the cell name may not end in a #NAME? in the target cell

- Enter in sheet2, B7: "="
- Navigate to sheet1, B6
  -> actual proposal is "sheet1.b6"

"Transition" and "Advance slide" are different settings. "Transition" describes
the visual effect when moving from one slide to the next slide. The kind 'no
Transition' is at the top of the list 'Apply to selected slides'.

"Advance slide" describes the technical way, which is used to move from one
slide to the next. Besides the setting for individual slides in the section
"advance slide" you can use the general settings in menu 'Slide show' item
'Slide show settings'.

The attached file is a working test case. It contains a Base database with a
table and a form. The table has five fields, one of which is a primary key. The
primary key field is set to "AutoValue: Yes", all the other fields are set to
"Entry Required: no". The form has fields for all the fields except for the

is inserted.

I think, it does not help, if I only install a Chinese font on my system. I need
to completely switch my hole system to Chinese to see this effect AFAICT ... :(
As this is nearly impossible for me (only using Free Software with a
Germanophone locale here ... ;) ) to switch my whole system to a different
language (as I would not be able to handle my PC afterwards ... :( ), I cannot
be of any help to test it, sorry ... :( But it would be nice, if you could test
it with a newer version of OOo than DEV300m36.
