In that version your solution does indeed load the html file in < 1 minute. However I cannot load it in calc. While within scalc, I load the document with the filter Webpagina's (*.html; *.htm, etc.), and it opens with Writer/Web. With the filter HTML Document (OpenOffice.org Writer) it opens in Writer in < 1 minute, but it takes several minutes before the application responds to a menu mouse click. In both cases the markup (color) is lost. I can only see these two filters for html documents. Perhaps I've misread your instructions. If so, please advise. So the issue still stands. These functions are key to good spreadsheet software. Both functions display results on no match, though the true match result does look to be correct. I can't see a way to upload example so see the example at http://www.davidpbrown.co.uk/offsite/bug-on-lookup.ods.zip which shows several examples of the problems. Column C is VLOOKUP of Column A in Array F Column E is LOOKUP of Column A in Array F Note that following a correct result in row 21 that cell C22 VLOOKUP then mirrors that previous result rather than showing the #N/A not found result. Nulling the result between rows maybe all there is to resolving this?? Note that following a correct result in row 21 that cell E22 LOOKUP shows match on the first occasion, displays a run of true where false and then at the next true match displays false and then continues to suggest not found #N/As. Again Nulling the result between rows maybe all there is to resolving this?? though LOOKUP maybe wanting the result status TRUE/FALSE also nulled??
