I think, this is really a bad idea. In the OpenOffice.org installation set you find a sub folder redist. There are redistributables for the runtime libraries for 64 bit and 32 bit systems. Looking into the msi database of the vcredist_x86.exe I can see that it contains 127 (!) files at 59 components and 43 CustomActions. You do not expect to get a valid installation if you only copy these files. In your example you do not mention the policy file. But this is essential. The soffice.bin was built with msvcr90.dll in version 21022. Therefore this version is written into its manifest file. And if you install the vcredist.exe correctly you get installed the msvcr90.dll in version 30729 together with a policy file that says the Windows system, that if an application requires the msvcr90.dll in version 21022, it can use the version 30729 because this is obviously downward compatible. So the correct installation of vcredist.exe is absolutely necessary that all this Windows internal processes can work successfully. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. As a consequence, it is somewhat difficult to (automatically, i.e. scripted) find out which files have just been created by a build in the current module. This information, however, would be interesting for further processing, e.g. automatic copying of built libraries, executables, and resource files into an existing OOo installation. So, it would be helpful if the build system could expose the information it already has. Something like $ cd sfx2 $ make showdeliverables /dev/o_undoapi/DEV300/unxlngi6/workdir/LinkTarget/Library/libsfxli.so /dev/o_undoapi/DEV300/unxlngi6/workdir/ResTarget/sfxen-US.res ... The target should emit full paths to the generated output files. I am not sure about the file types to include in this. Personally, I am interested libraries, executables, jar files, and resource files. I might have been imprecise with the requirement. In fact, I am not interested in all files delivered from a given module. I am interested in all files of a certain type which have been built in a certain module. Those two might be different, imagine executables built in the workben folder of a module, which are not delivered, but nonetheless interesting for forther automated processing (like copying into the OOo installation, to be able to be ran). So, in fact the output produced to workdir/* is interesting, not necessarily the files later on copied to $SOLVER. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [framework-issues] [Issue 116455] toolbar Style settings are not made persistent.
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=116455 --- Additional comments from arie...@openoffice.org Fri Jan 21 13:57:47 + 2011 --- arielch-cd: ups maybe I was too cryptic about the explanation. I debugged this down to the root of the problem, the implementation of the com.sun.star.ui.WindowStateConfiguration service: http://hg.services.openoffice.org/DEV300/file/DEV300_m97/framework/inc/uiconfiguration/windowstateconfiguration.hxx http://hg.services.openoffice.org/DEV300/file/DEV300_m97/framework/source/uiconfiguration/windowstateconfiguration.cxx As you notice, there is no problem with the configuration API. The problem is a) the ConfigurationAccess_WindowState caches the information b) and how it caches that information when the toolbar is created and there is no WindowState config. available: it only caches the properties that have been set (this information is stored in a binary field). See ConfigurationAccess_WindowState::insertByName * in http://hg.services.openoffice.org/DEV300/file/DEV300_m97/framework/source/uiconfiguration/windowstateconfiguration.cxx#l471 the WindowState is stored in the cache from the properties set in the ToolbarlayoutManager 471 WindowStateInfo aWinStateInfo; 472 impl_fillStructFromSequence( aWinStateInfo, aPropSet ); 473 m_aResourceURLToInfoCache.insert( ResourceURLToInfoCache::value_type( rResourceURL, aWinStateInfo )); * notice that impl_fillStructFromSequence stores bitwise which properties are set * then the WindowState is inserted in the OOo regsitry 475 // insert must be write-through = insert element into configuration 476 Reference XNameContainer xNameContainer( m_xConfigAccess, UNO_QUERY ); 477 if ( xNameContainer.is() ) 478 { 479 Reference XSingleServiceFactory xFactory( m_xConfigAccess, UNO_QUERY ); 480 aLock.unlock(); 481 482 try 483 { 484 Reference XPropertySet xPropSet( xFactory-createInstance(), UNO_QUERY ); 485 if ( xPropSet.is() ) 486 { 487 Any a; 488 impl_putPropertiesFromStruct( aWinStateInfo, xPropSet ); 489 a = xPropSet; 490 xNameContainer-insertByName( rResourceURL, a ); 491 Reference XChangesBatch xFlush( xFactory, UNO_QUERY ); 492 if ( xFlush.is() ) 493 xFlush-commitChanges(); 494 } 495 } 496 catch ( Exception ) 497 { 498 } 499 } * impl_putPropertiesFromStruct only sets the properties marked in the mask field. Of course the configuration API takes care of default values. But the issue here is that ConfigurationAccess_WindowState does not read them back from the configuration, but retrieves the WindowState from the cache. And when the toolbar is created it has no WindowState in the OOo regsitry, so only the properties set by the ToolbarlayoutManager are cached: see ConfigurationAccess_WindowState::getByName 333 ResourceURLToInfoCache::const_iterator pIter = m_aResourceURLToInfoCache.find( rResourceURL ); 334 if ( pIter != m_aResourceURLToInfoCache.end() ) 335 return impl_getSequenceFromStruct( pIter-second ); 336 else 337 { 338 Any a( impl_getWindowStateFromResourceURL( rResourceURL ) ); 339 if ( a == Any() ) 340 throw NoSuchElementException(); 341 else 342 return a; The WindowState of the newly created toolbar is on the cache with only the properties set by the ToolbarlayoutManager. impl_getSequenceFromStruct only sets those, but no default value at all. I first thought of the solution of modifying ConfigurationAccess_WindowState::insertByName and ConfigurationAccess_WindowState::replaceByName to cache the WindowState retrieved back from the configuration. But if we go this way, then the whole way ConfigurationAccess_WindowState stores which properties are set in the mask field is completely pointless, and all the code should be simplified to write and read from the OOo regsitry, caching the whole set of properties. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 116465] table cells containing nested atbles cannot be selected
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=116465 --- Additional comments from isaa...@openoffice.org Fri Jan 21 16:50:19 + 2011 --- Using Windows XP, OOo 3.2.1 and with the build 9502, I was able to reproduce this bug. The bug can be reproduced by just having one line of text and does not need two to show the problem: 1. Create new Writer document. 2. Type in some text. 3. Select all text with mouse or press Ctrl-A. 4. Go to Table-Convert-Text to Table. 5. Apply Convert Text to Table tab with default values and Borders check box marked. 6. Select the single row with a mouse. 7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 in order to have double Text to Table convert. 8. Select the first row with a mouse from the left edge of the row (the cursor is shown like an arrow pointing left). The attempted selection of the first row will automatically put the cursor under the table, being unable to select the row from the left edge of the row. The issue is not only with the first row, but with all the rows of a double Text to Table convert table. If it were 1 row, 3 rows, 100 rows, etc., trying to select any one of the rows will always select and put the cursor one row below the desired selection (or out of the table if trying to select last row of table), therefore the problem lies with double Text to Table conversion. It is also impossible to select the whole table from the top left corner (the cursor is shown like an arrow pointing Southeast). This applies to all tables that are of a double Text to Table convert, no matter how many rows. Of course, with a single Text to Table convert, the selection from the left edge of the row selects the appropriate row. Embedding tables inside one of the cells does not produce a problem and all rows can be selected. Another example I've encountered allows the correct selection of the row if there are 2 or more columns with the left-most cell being converted using Text to Table conversion. The only problem is the whole row cannot be selected, only the cursor is in the right place. I have attached a file of examples that I've tried and encountered the problem and where I hadn't. The problem does not seem to be too severe and it is easy to get around, just by dragging the mouse over the row to select it. But of course, the Word Processor should do what it says it will do (when leaving mouse over the left edge of a row, a pop up box displays “Select table row”) and this bug should be considered fixing. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 115508] copy drawing lines and paste - positions messed up!
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=115508 --- Additional comments from isaa...@openoffice.org Fri Jan 21 16:58:25 + 2011 --- Using Windows XP, OOo 3.2.1 and with the build 9502, I was able to reproduce this bug. Although, there was some discrepancy on how I reproduced the bug. The steps I took is as follows: 1. Drew the shape of an arrow using 3 lines. 2. Selected the lines one-by-one using the SHIFT-key and using Ctrl-C to copy them. 3. Creating a few spaces between the originally drawn arrow, pasted the copied arrow Crtl-V, only to find that there was no problem. 4. Drew another arrow below the copied arrow and copied that one exactly like Step 2. 5. Creating a few spaces between the new arrow, pasted the new copied arrow using Crtl-V, to find that the position of the arrows were misaligned. It seems that the bug only occurs when a second copy is made on another set of shapes. It may be that somehow an internal or external factor is not allowing the lines to be assigned proper locations, which causes the misalignment. The problem does not only affect drawing of lines, but other shapes as well, for example, the oval and the rectangle. Right after I discovered the bug, I immediately tried to do the same with ovals, creating 3 ovals that overlapped each other (but still able to see each one), and then pasting them, again to find that the alignment of the ovals were off from the original. And ditto with the rectangles. The shapes do not need to be in threes and can also be unconnected for this bug to occur as well. I've attached a file with the reproduction of the bug and with the other examples of the bug that I've encountered. It seems that the you can also reproduce the bug by using the mouse (Drag a box around the shapes, copy them using Crtl-C and the right-clicking and selecting Paste in the drop-down menu). Using different methods of copying with the mouse and keyboard still reveals the bug, so this would not be a way to get around the problem. An easy way I've found to get around this bug is to just open up a new document, create the shapes you want, copy them and then paste them into the document you were working on. This bug does not seem to create huge problems, but may be very annoying for beginner users or people who do not use computers very often. It would obviously be better if this bug did not occur and that it would be fixed as soon as possible. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
