On one computer installed with OOo114 Traditional Chinese edition, our user
reported that when he typed Chinese Characters with the "速成" input method, he
need to select character. e.g. He typed "水大" for the character "澳", he needs
to use the mouse to select "澳" from the list. See 1.jpg.

Normally, only this "澳" will be input to the editor. The input method itself
will provide some auto suggestion after selecting "澳", see 2.jpg. The user can
select which suggestion he wants by using the mouse. But, the user must select
before this suggestion will be input.

But,the problem is that "大利亞人" are also input automatically when the user
select "澳" . We have verified that this problem only happened in OpenOffice,
not other applicaitons, on that computer only. It is weired.

We found that the position of "澳" in the first list is the same as "大利亞人"
in the second list. And we confirmed that for inputing other chinese characters
the similar thing happened. If the user uses keyboard to make selection, it will
be fine.
So, we suspected that some how the mouse input is repeated twice.

Any idea?

Thanks! Alan

We are currently using the filtering function of Calc. We found the following
issue:

We had some rows with the same data, e.g. "Paul" and "Paul ". For the second
one, we accidently typed one more trailing space.
When performing filtering, Calc treated it as two different words.
Is it the true behavior of Calc?
If so, it there is work around?
Thanks!

Quote :
"I think the issue is how the frame is being treated. I believe OOo does not
allow page wrapping because a frame is in place. This makes sense to me (not a
bug). I do not know why the table is in a frame in the first place, but it is
fairly easy to cut and paste the table out of the frame. Then, the entire table
will show up by wrapping to multiple pages."

I can also cut and paster the table out of the frame myselft before. This is how
I taught our users. But, it is farily irritating being need to to so everytime.
I think OOo should not put the table into a frame then, it should be fine.
Will this behavior be changed? I recommend to do so.

Sorry, using OOo2.0 to open the first attachment, we can see the end of the
table. But, the table is still put into a frame.

Please try the second attachment, I have prolonged the table. This time, the
end
of the table cannot be seen with both 1.1.4 and 2.0.

When I open a Word file which contains a table spanning across pages, with OOo1.
1.4 and OOo2.0, the lower part of the table is hidden. In OOO writer, the table
is put into a frame, so, the lower part of it is hidden. Please try the
attached
Word file. Is it a bug?

What we concern is that why does OOo writer put the table into a frame. If not,
it should be fine.

Thanks!

We have got a huge Microsoft Word file with 73 pages, about 28Mbytes. The
contents are Chinese and some pictures.
We cannot use both OOo1.1.4 and OOo2.0 to open it. The program tried to open it
and after a long long time, it is still stucking.

With Microsoft word, we can open it within seconds.

If we remove all the pictures inside, about 800kbyte now. Then, it can be
opened
successfully with OOo1.1.4 and 2.0. So, the problem is due to the pictures.

Since the content of this file are private. We would like you to establish a
Private FTP server for us to submit this file to you for trouble shooting.

Regards,

Alan

Hi, I have tested to open that file in OOo1.1.3.
It is alright.
I don't have the 仿宋_GB2312 font installed, but the characters can be
displayed correctely.
