@hdu: The pictures are on top of
each other to reveal information
only in small pieces.

I am a physicist and I use this
trick often to show only part after
part of a dataset. Otherwise the
audience would have difficulties
where to look when I show a graph
with 10+ curves.

See the attached presentation.
http://drop.io/ldso7lk

Five pictures, 16 slides. Nothing special.

Nevertheless Impress takes three seconds to
flip from one page to the next in presentation mode.

This happens on different machines and operating systems.
(KUbuntu, OpenSuse 11.2/11.3 and XP)
All the memory options are set to the max.

Do the following:

- Create a presentation
- Add a linked picture
- Copy the created page 30x

Result:
In the slide sorter view it becomes impossible to
select more than one slide. Selection i.e. four
imidiately unselects them. Additionally the corner
a around selection flackers.

In the normal view it becomes impossible the scroll the
slide preview on the left as it imidiately jumps back after
scrolling.

Reproducable on various platforms XP, OpenSuse, Kubuntu
and on various PCs with different hardware, and also
reproduced by different people.

A real showstopper and 3.2 should not be released before
this is fixed.

A nice enhancement would be to make it possible to link a font to a
presentation, like it is possible with pictures.

This would enhance the portability as it would be possible to have
some special fonts in the directory of the presentation. Just copying
the folder would then also load the required fonts on another computer
once the presentation main file is opened.
