------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Oct 11 22:59:47 +0000 2008 ------- I downloaded latest version of OO 3.0.0 on 10-11-08. In cell A1 in the spreadsheet if you divide 1/10^8 it displays 0.00000001 in standard notation. So far so good. For cell A2 divide this number by 10^4 (=A1/10^4)it now just displays a 0. For cell A3 multiply the result from A2 by 5 (=A2*5)once again it displays just a 0 in standard notation. Now divide A3 by A2 (=A3/A2) and you should get a 5. Instead you get a message #DIV/0! This problem can be corrected by clicking on cells A2 and A3 and changing then to scientific notation with the E+3 button and then it performs the calculation correctly. Is there a way (in standard notation) to automatically display the answer in scientific notation and avoid these rounding off errors? Calculators do this and it would make doing physics homework on a spreadsheet much easier. If you could fix this your spreadsheet would be awesome! --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
