Should give a spell-check message noting that the occurs twice. I am not aware of any language where using words several times is common and thus I find such warnings generally helpful. (In, e.g., German such doubling may occur in some cases if relative pronoun is followed by an article. It can also be used as stylistic means.) This is a feature I seriously miss in ispell/aspell/OpenOffice has it occurs to often and I don't mind false positives - when going through the final version - as they are easier to ignore (if sparse) than finding such typos by simply reading the document. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Maybe I do something wrong, but while I can use the pen to write something on normals slides, I fail to use the pen on the white/black slides. What I'd like to do is: - Give a normal presenation, add something with the pen - insert a page to give some extra bits - continue with the talk - question arise - go back and have (maybe depending on a presentation option) the inserted slides and the other annotations still there. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. If I import a XHTML file, the encoding is ignored (UTF-8 is given in the file, UTF-8 is locale ($LANG), but OOo assumes seemingly ISO-8859-1). Furthermore, the ?xml ? line is shown verbosely For encoding, one should probably look at ?xml encoding? if present and otherwise for the meta http-equiv=content-type content=text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 / The ?xml ? should never be printed! My HTML file (read from the filesystem) starts with: -- ?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8 ? !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd html xmlns=http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml; xml:lang=en lang=en dir=ltr - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 56328] New - PPT file: Embedded E MF(?) graphic: shows black rectangles at text pos.
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=56328 Issue #:|56328 Summary:|PPT file: Embedded EMF(?) graphic: shows black |rectangles at text pos. Component:|Presentation Version:|680m125 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|open-import Assigned to:|wg Reported by:|burnus --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Oct 20 10:39:21 -0700 2005 --- This is OpenOffice_org-1.9.125-5 of SUSE Linux 10.0. The PowerPoint file contains graphics, which seem to be in the EMF or WMF format. (In PP 2002, if choose Edit graphic, it tells me: This is an imported graphic and no group. Should it be converted into a Microsoft Office drawing object? [yes/no]. If I choose yes, I can edit the text.) The file shows a plot consisting of the tics (630, 632 etc.), the legend and a textbox. In OpenOffice, the background of both the textbox and the legend is black. One sees the red and blue line of the legend and a c sticks out. Thus I'd assume that the text is correctly drawn, but that first the boxes are filled with a black background. If I ungroup the graphic elements in OOo, then I can select a black-filled rectangle (and delete it) and I can delete a black-borded rectangle. After that, the file looks quite ok. (Minor other bugs: The text position is shifted to the bottom/right with regards to the rectangles to the PP2002 results; and if I ungroup, the graphic jumps to the top right of the page instead of keeping the initial position.) If I save the file in PP 2002 (both normal format and PP 97 format), the file is correctly imported in OOo. I'm not sure whether I can attach that file as I have received it in private mail and as I haven't created that file myself (stripping down does not work, see above). But I can send this file (275K) by mail if someone wants to investigate. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. (It looks as if the backgroud was created in stripes and a small space was left before the next stripe starts.) Besides there is a clipping problem with the embedded WMF. This may or may not be issue 38985, which is said to be fixed in Presfixes02. I franckly don't know whether this is part of M87 or not.
