My unchanged files now validate. OOWriter 3.3 files don't. Thanks, Chris - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [xml-issues] [Issue 115789] Validation of manifest.xm l fails
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=115789 --- Additional comments from chriskimb...@openoffice.org Tue Dec 7 12:41:16 + 2010 --- The response by sus Mon Nov 29 11:39:22 + 2010 indicates the problem is in the validator: The version attribute is missing in the root element of the manifest.xml. Instead the missing mimetype attribute is a problem of the validator. In creating my own manifest files, nothing is accepted by your validator. Would you please provide an example of a valid manifest file? Or at least its root element. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Same error results. Are the repairs to cws fwk162 for the validator or OpenOffice Writer? When will they take effect for the site users? (I'm an advocate for the OpenDocument Text format, choosing to distribute ODT files of biblical text at my site tanach.us. In promoting this new feature and ODT I've claimed that my files validate with your validator. And they did a few weeks ago. Now they don't, a source of consternation and embarrassment.) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 115127] Writer crashes for Hebrew text on Win 7 only
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=115127 Issue #|115127 Summary|Writer crashes for Hebrew text on Win 7 only Component|Word processor Version|OOO320m10 Platform|PC URL|http://hcanat.us/PreviousVersions/Summary/Chronicles_1 |.odt OS/Version|Windows 7 Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|viewing Assigned to|writerneedsconfirm Reported by|chriskimball --- Additional comments from chriskimb...@openoffice.org Tue Oct 19 18:44:39 + 2010 --- My machine-generated, but validated by your validator, containing Hebrew text crashes on Win 7 (OO 3.2.1), but runs slowly, but correctly on Mac OSX 10.6.4 (OO 3.2.1) and Ubuntu Linux 10.4 LT (OO 3.2.0). File loads correctly, however, when the user attempts to page down the machine locks up, exiting only on close. Of 39 files, this behavior occurs only on 6 long files. Short files work just fine. I have plenty of memory and computer horsepower. Test file is Chronicles_1.odt at URL above. I am the publisher of a charitable, non-denominational educational site displaying the Hebrew bible in Hebrew, http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml. Distributing ODT files for OO Writer was part of the plan. But if Writer can't handle them, I can't go forward.
