Inserting a column into a spreadsheet when filters are active correctly moves
the data to the right of the inserted column, but does not move the filters.
They are then applied to the wrong column.

My mistake. You do get to the point of clicking on "tables" but it hangs at
*that* point. Process explorer shows an "established" tcpip connection to the
correct servver but the OOo base is hung.

Still does not work in 2.1 but the symptom is different. Using Oracle ODBC
driver version 9.2.0.0, connections now hang indefinitely. You never even get to
the point where you can click on "tables".

SQL queries work. It's opening or editing a table that doesn't work with.

Respectfully I agree with qfarrow's sentiments pertaining to the product, but
without the insult, though I understand his frustration. This is core
functionality that doesn't work with the premiere commercial database in the
world. A problem of this magnitude should have been a show-stopper for the
release of 2.0. We are now up to 2.0.3 and it still hasn't been addressed. What
is going on? Is there some major problem preventing the fix? Is there some
option in the oracle odbc driver that can be enabled/disabled in order to make
it work?

[sc-issues] [Issue 17091] Add Center Across Selecti on feature to spreadsheet

Merging cells is NOT the same as center across selection. It is not at all
compatible with Excel's "center across selection". What's worse if you edit a
spreadsheet with Calc that someone else created with Excel and it contains
"center across selection" formatting, Calc will change it to "merge cells". When
the creator tries to open the spreadsheet again in Excel, Calc has screwed up
the formatting! This is not what anyone would call compatibility. I would
request this bug be reopened and the feature added. Yeah, it's that important,
if you want to be compatible with Excel that is.

If you create a document with OOo 2.0 Writer that contains a page background
color or graphic and save the document in MS Word .doc format, the background
does't get saved. If you reopen the document with Writer, it's gone. Documents
saved in .odt format appear to be fine. In my example I selected the Ivy.gif
file and tiled it. The file is located in C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery.

Is anybody looking at this issue? I saw the release candidate come out recently
which makes me think we're getting ready for a non-beta release. Do we really
want to do that when the Database application can't work with Oracle? One of the
most popular RDBMS's in the world?

I am connecting to an Oracle 9.2 database using Oracle's ODBC drivers. I have
tried versions 9.2.0 and 10.1.0.2 of the Oracle ODBC driver, as well as version
2.575.1117 of the Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle. I get the same problem with
all of them. After opening the database document and entering the password, I
click on "tables" on the left side of the OOo Base window. That presents a list
of the tables in the database. But when I try to open any of them I get a blank
document instead of a list of the data in the table.

I have has this problem with all snapshots I have tried including the latest -
M118.

I am having the same problem with m87 and m91 using both the Oracle and
Microsoft supplied ODBC drivers. The tables names list correctly in the table
selector but if I double click a table name it brings up no rows. If I right
click a table name and select edit, I see no column names. Forms designor works
exactly as expected however.

Here are all my versions...
Microsoft ODBC Driver for Oracle version 2.575.1117.00
Oracle ODBC driver version 9.02.00.00
Oracle RDBMS version is 9.2.0.5
Oracle Net version 9.2.0.1.0

If quickstarter is not running, the applications fail to launch every other time
you run them. The splash screen appears, disappears, and the app never launches.
I have confirmed with with both Writer and Calc in version 1.9.91.

Version 1.9.79

If you copy a highlghted line of an outlne to the windows clipboard and paste
into another application, it not only pastes the highlighted text, but also the
number/letter of the first line of the same level of the outline. For example if
you have something like this...

1 This is the first line
  a) level 2 line 1
  b) level 2 line 2

Highlight "level 2 line 2" (don't highlight "b) ") and copy to clipboard, then
paste into notepad. You will paste "a)level 2 line 2". I have a document that
demonstrates this bug but cannot find any way to attach it to this issue. If you
want it please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I'll gladly
forward it. Maybe after submitting the issue there'll be an option to attach it.
