There is a great scientific and academic community out there that is spending a lot of money in MSExcel, why not helping them now: Can anyone code an extension for using RLPLOT in combination with OOo 2.X? (Im sure the rlplot people would be delighted to help with that) http://rlplot.sourceforge.net/index.html http://rlplot.sourceforge.net/Examples/index.html - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 81726] Integrate RLPLOT or make i t an extension
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=81726 Issue #|81726 Summary|Integrate RLPLOT or make it an extension Component|Chart Version|OOo 2.3 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|ENHANCEMENT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|code Assigned to|kla Reported by|davidbl --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 19 07:39:04 + 2007 --- I think the chart component could improve benefitting from the different types of Graphs that come with RLPLOT. I think it should be relatively easy to include RLPLOT within an extension for scientific graphs/statistics, so you can use a Calc sheet as source for RLPLOT graphs. In later OOo versions RLPLOT capabilities could be fully integrated into chart/calc as a big improvement for scientific/statistical use (Going a little further, with the help of R, it could even make OOo Calc/Chart as a suitable replacement for SPSS [and leave Excel in the dust in this area at the same time :-D ] http://rlplot.sourceforge.net/index.html http://www.r-project.org/ - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. When editing has finished, the panel is grey, the selected datasource does not re-appear,and it doesn´t come back to normal view mode unles F4 is pressed or view/datasource is clicked again (it is even selected in the menu dropbox), then, the focus on the selected table is lost. This last thing is not an issue for simple datasource selections but if there are many databases with many tables and queries to be selected, it can be very unconfortable to go and look for the data source every time a modification is needed. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 52306] New - type of field combo box selector shows just 5 rows at a time
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=52306 Issue #:|52306 Summary:|type of field combo box selector shows just 5 rows at |a time Component:|Database access Version:|680m118 Platform:|PC URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|none Assigned to:|dbaneedsconfirm Reported by:|davidbl --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jul 22 00:58:57 -0700 2005 --- When in table design mode, the combo box for selecting the type of field just shows a few rows, so the user must scroll up and down in order to find the type of data field wanted. Since some types of data are different from other database apps (access, phpmyadmin) it is better to show a greater number of rows at a time (or even every type of data expanding fully the combo box) rather than just 5-6 as currently. This should have a very easy solution. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 45859] New - make combo boxes multicolumn:store an id but show a description to the user
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=45859 Issue #:|45859 Summary:|make combo boxes multicolumn:store an id but show a |description to the user Component:|Database access Version:|OOo 2.0 Beta Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|ENHANCEMENT Priority:|P5 Subcomponent:|none Assigned to:|msc Reported by:|davidbl --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Mar 23 06:59:34 -0800 2005 --- A most useful feature of form design in ms.acess is that in combo boxes have multi-column capability: you can store an id of an linked table in the data field while showing a description field or several fields (on the collapsible box) from the same linked table, thus making very easy to input external keys from a foreign table into the table that is the data source for the form. Example: we can select three fields idemployee, employee, telephone from a foreign table as the source for the values shown in the combo-box,set the first one as the data to store (dependent column in msacess) then we set the format of the combo to three columns to be shown, and the width of the columns to 0 cms;5 cms;3 cms, so the first field (the foreign key) is hidden (the 0). When the user expands the combo box, he will see a list of employees and their respective phones in two different columns, and when selected, the id of the employee will be stored (although hidden in the combo) in the table. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. This seem as an unfinished feature, since is (in case it works the way it is expected to do) way more complete than the pre-defined shapes found on 1.1.4, and reveallingly the same feature in the Connectors button DOES work (but this one already did on 1.1.4). I tested 1.9.74 (what in the future will be 2.0), both on Windows 98 SE and Windows 2000 pro both with Java JRE 1.5.0.1 installed, and i experienced the same defect. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
