System Environment:
MacOSX 10.6 german - Latest Patchlevel
OOo 3.2 german

Server:
Thecus NAS N3200Pro with Samba Version 3.0.34

Problem:
I try to access using OOo Open-document-dialog a document on samba share that is
not already connected using MacOSX finder.
OOo does not connect to this share and does also not request any account data
from me or the key chain.
OOo is set to use the system dialogs for open/save documents.

MacOSX system.log brings the following messages:
Mar 28 12:26:07 dirks-macpro
/Applications/OpenOffice.org.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice[2048]:
NetworkNode::handleMountCallBack returned -6600

Mounting share using MacOSX finder and open document by "Open with OpenOffice"
is working fine.

The same issue was seen in OOo-based NeoOffice too.

I opened a spreadsheet from samba share and changed something.

If I try to save the document I receive a error message (translated to english,
because I am using german localization): "Error during save document:Error
during create, Backup copy could not be created."

Nothing has been saved.

Tested with Leopard 10.5.3 on Intel Mac.
Samba 3.0.28a on Ubuntu 8.04 (ext3 filesystem)

I tried to confirm this issue again and now it worked as expected. No read-only
from samba share and local filesystem.

Seems that Leopard 10.5.3 changed something in this area.

If I open a ods file from a network share (Samba Server 3.0.28a) it opens in
read only mode only.

In other programs like NeoOffice I can work on this document directly from
network. If the same file is copied locally before open it is working too.

A Writer file (odt) on the same share doesn't show this failure, so it seems to
be on Calc only.
