I'm making a odt document on linux, and I print setting some printer properties.

I send the document to a friend, which opens it with Oo.o on windows, modifies
it and saves without touching anything about printing. Then he sends back the
document to me.

When I open the document again it has lost the printer properties I had set.

I consider these properties should be kept across platforms.

Well, I tried to print the booklet without collating the copies, but on the 2nd
side of the sheet I get the 1st.

In other words, if you select 10 copies without selecting collate, Oo.o prints
10 times the 1st page and 10 times the second, printing on both sides of the
sheet, and you don't get the booklet, but 5+5 sheets with the same printing on
both sides.

So the bug exists. Oo.o should print both sides on every sheet even if you don't
select collate.

The printer I use isn't a bad one, it's a multifunction Ricoh NRG DSm725

Even if I print 10 copies I get them calculated 10 times.

I have an A4 booklet both sides document with two images. The odt size is 1.2MB

If I print 100 copies of it with one print command, Oo.o actually calculates 100
times the print file it sends the printer.

This results in a very long time in order to get the printing, and in a big
crunch of cpu time being used.

I think that multiple copies printings should be worked calculating only once
the printing file, and sending it the printer with the appropriate command to
print it the specified number of times.

with the document I was speaking of, printing 200 copies resulted in a 34' time
in order to get the little Oo.o print windows disappear, and 20' more in order
to begin getting the printings on the printer.

The print job had a 243MB size!

I have a Intel dual core cpu pc, which is quite a fast pc.

format a paragraph with keep paragraphs together option, and put various
paragraphs after it.

format the following paragraph as hidden text.

You expect that the keep paragraphs together option mantain the corresponding
paragraph tied to the following not-hidden paragraph, while it keeps it together
with the hidden one, and that doesn't result in what you want.

I have an unordered list, and I see that Oo.o 2.4 e Oo.o 3.0 (dev300m41 build
9383) render it differently.

See attacched document:

In 2.4 the text of the list item is closed to the bullet, while in 3.0 its
aside.

If I want to create a new document, I can create it as a 0-sized document with
gnome new document feature, and rename it to something.odt.

When I open it with Oo.o, Oo.o presents me the ASCII filter options, the same
way as it were opening a text only file. However, it is obvious that those
options have no meaning in case of a null document, so I consider that Oo.o
should not present those options in such a case.

Besides that, that options windows is confusing the user, because nobody expects
to see it, and the user could remain astonished.

Unfortunatly, nothing has changed: firefox and epiphany both show the paragraphs
with line some spacing.

In the .odt, however, both paragraphs formatting and standard style formatting
(which the paragraphs have) have space before and space after set to 0. Both
settings should be included in the html generated code .

I have a document in which all the paragraphs hasn't any space before nor after.
I attach a very simple one.

I'm saving it to html. The result is that the style information define a P {
margin-bottom: 0.21cm) directive, and if I open the document in the browser the
paragraphs are actually spaced.

Here is the generated html:

The issue is still present in 2.2.1 (debian unstable).

I consider it cannot be closed, because switching on/off the feature is
invisible to the normal user. Nobody could think of looking for such a option in
a 3rd-level submenu!!!

I personally lasted 1 year thinking it was a bug, and not a feature, because I
was looking for something related in the options and couldn't find nothing.

Please open the bug again.

The document I'm going to attach presents a weird thing: when openining the
document, cell A3 shows date 01/06/1967, while the data input field shows
31/05/1967.

Moving the cursor either one or the other change. Hitting F2 when in A3,
sometimes shows 31/05/1967.

I'm usign ubuntu dapper on host otherhos, from another linux pc (myhost) I run:

$  ssh -Yf otherhost oowriter

After entering ssh password, oowriter open in myhost, presenting a blank

After I begin writing (I typed asdf), in the terminal where I run ssh I get:

Reproduce the issue this way:

- open a new document
- create a void table
- click somewhere in it with right mouse button
- in the pop up menu, move the cursor on some command with the mouse without
selecting the command
- hit the esc key = crash

The crash doesn't happen if you move in the pop up menu with the keyboard.

OOo doesn't autosave the document any more.

I have the autosave option set.

It doesn't matter if I put 1 min or 20 min for autosaving in the option dialog,
OOo never autosaves the document.
