I've read through the comments and what I ask is just the ability to be able to
select Option-open office writer- change in a first step.

None for addition
Hide for deletion -
None for changed attribute
Mark for line changed

Then I do not understand why it is flaged P4 instead of P3 given the comment of
the people.

I do not quite understand why this has not been fixed during all this time. I
deal with 200 pages documents with multiple editors and showing changes makes
the document absolutely unreadable even between a single revision.

The only acceptable way to show to readers where they should focuss when reading
the new version would be this change marks on the marging. Even latex does do
that!

I have to deal with huge documents (200 pages hundred figures) with a lot of
contributors. I do record modification and use them to do merging manually
because some modfication are done in // given a version I distribute.

I would like to be able to print a new version with only revision mark in the
margin. I tried to play with the writer modification options but I did not find
ways to purely remove the removed text or characters. Displaying all the
modification make the result absoluely unreadble.

Thanks rainer for taking the time to explain the different anchoring as/to
character mode.

I'm still wondering why I have no right to modify a figure anchored as
character. And as doing this requires mots of the time ungrouping...

Will wait patiently.

Thanks for your time

Click on the anchored figure and try to ungoup it by
1) right click,
2) scroll down to group menu item,

You have no selection at the right of the ungroup

Then do
1) right click,
2) scroll down to anchor and chnage anchoring from As character,
to any other anchoring option (e.g. to to character and then you will
be able to ungroup it.

I do not agree or not understand what you mean : the anchor type apply to the
figure as a whole not to single elements of the figure Plus what is then the
difference to to character which works?

The annoying point is that changing
the anchoring tyep on big document leads to have a figure oping up anywhere in
the surrounding pages...
