I would categorize this bug as a blocker, atleast here for me, since that will hinder adoption of OOo (under linux) for many potential BIG customers.. (3000+ users per customer as it stands now they either have to stay with windows and use OOo (since does not affect windows users and AD from what I can see) currently when these potential customers come to us and ask if we can help them migrate to linux and OOo we have to say no, and that we can either help them migrate to linux OR OOo, but not both.. If I create a local account on that machine and starts OOo from that account, everything works as expected. It seems to go over all Rows found from the database (3 rows, 3 mails) But no fields are merged. in the resulting document I get fieldname as output (no longer a field) I have tested several enviroments and sofar only OOo on windows 2000 terminal server have behaved like this. The problem is that the xml document do not have an ?xml ...? processing instruction in it and it have characters that is encoded in ISO-8859-1 (norwegian characters åæø) this makes the parse function in the DocumentBuilder service return null no errors/exceptions or anything just plain null. this is how I wrote my function oSFA = createUNOService (com.sun.star.ucb.SimpleFileAccess) oInpStream = oSFA.openFileRead(sUrl) oDB = createUnoService(com.sun.star.xml.dom.DocumentBuilder) domDoc = oDB.parse(oInpStream) oInpStream.closeInput It was suggested that I could perheps try to use the TextInputStream to set the encoding to ISO-8859-1 and use that instead, but the person that suggested that now say that it will not work since DocumentBuilder apparently ignores that information. oSFA = createUNOService (com.sun.star.ucb.SimpleFileAccess) oInpStream = oSFA.openFileRead(sUrl) oTextInpStream = createUnoService(com.sun.star.io.TextInputStream) oTextInpStream.setInputStream(oInpStream) oTextInpStream.setEncoding(iso-8859-1) oDB = createUnoService(com.sun.star.xml.dom.DocumentBuilder) domDoc = oDB.parse(oTextInpStream) oInpStream.closeInput - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I have created my own extensions that add a menu to openoffice, clicking on one of these menu-entries I open up a dialog, when clicking on a button in this dialog an document is to be opened, this fails for me (I'm using OpenDocuemnt) using the StarDesktop.LoadComponentFromURL(DocPath,_default,0,Args()) manually instead of calling Opendocument it still fails unless I change _default to _blank OR add the FrameSearchFlag.ALL+FrameSearchFlag.CREATE instead of the 0.. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
