I spent time looking for this feature today (3.0.1). Wikipedia (!) notes that it
is not available. Finally found this issue (along with many duplicates--a lot of
people have wanted this since 2002).

I agree with others that the Back feature should not be conflated with /
implemented as an Undo feature. They are conceptually different: Back should
just be a positioning thing, whereas Undo in general makes changes.

If you're looking for other implementations of similar functionality, you could
look at kpdf: I use its "back" button all the time. It doesn't always do what I
want, but is mostly pretty useful.

I hope the Back button / feature can be added soon.

It's already simple to change legend text size.

It might be nice to scale legend text size with legend size. But it's hardly
critical.

The important thing is allow the user to set an arbitrary legend size,
especially one with narrow width and larger height to force labels into one
column (one symbol per line) rather than the inflexible current layout with all
symbols in a single row. And, changing the legend font size should NOT change
the legend size.

[graphics-issues] [Issue 11890] Ability to edit legend tex t / modify series names

I'm incredulous that Chart lets the user modify: Legend borders, background
color, transparency and gradient (for crying out loud), font and font effects,
but still, more than *** 6 YEARS *** after this ticket was opened, won't allow
the user to modify the only property that really matters in the Legend: the
label text! I mean, what good does a legend that specifies only "Column A"
"Column B" etc do anyway? It just wastes space.

This is a major reason that I've continue to use an old version of Excel under
VMware for the past several years on my Linux box.

I've just used my maximum of 2 votes to vote for this issue.

Is anybody working on this??? (It certainly appears the answer is no.) Why not?
Do you believe it is not important? Maybe you should just close it and relieve
users of apparently false hope...
